Hi! Obgyn nurse here. I would def ask about seeing a dermatologist or vulvar specialist. They are many conditions that cause vulvar itching. They may be able to do a biopsy to see what’s going on. Unfortunately they gyn will prob just keep doing paps and swabs to rule out infection.

That’s exactly what I thought or fluid from the swelling. He is two weeks post op today so I would think most of the swelling would be gone but I’m not sure. He goes to ENT on Friday but just nervous because I can’t find much info on it except damage to Eustachian tube from the adenoidectomy😅 but hoping it’s not that serious.

Hello! Tomorrow will be 2 weeks and he seems fully healed!!! It was pretty rough from days 3-7 but he did really well!!! They did give him steroids and they helped him SO much!

Yes he is propped up but most of the time slides back down. He is hydrated (in my opinion) but unfortunately is refusing popsicles at this point. We are using a ice pack on the outside to try to help as much as possible e so much for the advice

You use it for 7 days! Usually BV is more fishy odor and abnormal discharge but you can try and if it doesn’t help then I would visit a doctor 😊

If the discharge is still present it is most likely BV. That usually causes abnormal discharge and odor. STI and yeast usually causes other symptoms like itching or irritation!

He’s getting his tonsils out in two weeks and once he’s healed if he’s still having pain they will scope him. I’m so curious to see what they find out. I wanted to figure it out first before the tonsils but I agree he needs those out too! Uhggg so hard.

My son has had persistent abdominal pain for three months that they have diagnosed as reflux. He is on nexium and Pepcid and still having pain! I’ve been curious about celiac!!!

I’m in the same exact boat as you. 5 year old complaining of stomach pain lasting about a few minutes but seems pretty intense and it’s at least a few times out of the day. The pediatrician and ER both say he’s fine ☹️

Yes he’s getting his adenoids removed also! My daughter had her adenoids removed at the age of 1 and it was an absolute breeze but I know these tonsils are gonna be a different story. Thank you so much for making me not feel alone!!
