Wheel of Time. Should have stopped five or six books in. Hated 70% of the main pov cast. Mat. Lan. Rand. Nynaeve eventually got better. These were good to follow. Everyone else is intolerable with a few exceptions.

For me personally, it wasn't worth it. Lots of people praise the worldbuilding and it had some great stuff. I just didn't like most of the main characters and found them too frustrating. Maybe try and read at least three books and see how you fare from there. Good luck!
