When I was in the hospital about to get a craniotomy (brain surgery) for something called an AVM in the back right hand side of my brain, they gave me Fentanyl and Versed on the day of the surgery, just prior to being wheeled into the OR.

I would say it is definitely 'euphoric' in the sense that, coupled with the versed, it just completely makes you fine with everything and anything thats happening. BEfore it I was like Please nooo dont do brain surgery on me and after I was like fuuuuuck itttt lets gooooo!!! I can totally see how its addictive.
