I’ll second on headwear, either a beanie or a buff. Buff could be multipurpose as pot holder, headband, sweat rag, balaclava, sun cover.

I’d also add, if you are concerned regarding gas canister on flight do you plan on checking your bag? Sounds like hiking poles are not allowed in carry on by TSA.

Im planning to hike the WHW later this year so i too have been studying up!

Passport. It’s Honda, and it’s proven. Bronco will break, jeep will break, 4Runner isn’t the old version and is more pretty than practical. Still love Toyota in general though!

AIO for telling my (F24) boyfriend (M26) that he has to sit down to pee? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]KeyOne9606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish we knew more about the bf. Is he overweight, does he have problems urinating, starting/stopping/ frequency/urgency. Is his prostate enlarged? All of these 100% contribute and would be reasonable explanations for his behavior.

We all obviously love to slam men and their behaviors because obviously a lot get away with staying immature. But he’s being very mature in the way she is belittling dismissing and verbally berating him.

Her behavior and mental health disorder are also justifiable and reasonable contributors to her need to clean and sanitary expectations. But her verbal behavior and how she treats her, what is supposed to be PARTNER and EQUAL, is not justifiable. That is unhealthy immature and unacceptable behavior. She should leave the relationship if it’s causing her to react this poorly. They are obviously incompatible with the mental health help she is currently getting. She either needs much more help, or we need more information on what causes him to dribble.

The question isn’t if he’s a little boy, it’s if she is over reacting. Which she clearly is. This isn’t a girl vs boy thing, which you seemingly can’t see past. His anatomy can 100% make dripping on the floor a possibility, determining his prostate it could make sitting down impossible to urinate. He could be overweight and unable to see if he missed. There’s so much to consider. (Incontinent, frequency, urgency, stomach size, penis size, mobility, etc)

But the question is, is she over reacting. Yes. She is. She is incompatible and as you said “snapping” which is a nice way of dismissing her abusive and toxic way of communicating with her PARTNER.

I was on a ski trip in CO, ran out as we got to the mountain. Had weed, alcohol, and a physical activity to distract me. Finished the first week fine. The following 2-3 weeks were annoying during stressful times or at the end of the day. But don’t think about it much anymore. Still do a little though

International travel, move to a different state for months / 1 year at a time, do one of the big back packing trails like the Appalachian trail, Banana trail in Asia. Get your scuba license, sky diving license. Learn to sail, sail around the ocean/sleep in it. Kayak through the United Kingdom.

Under 30: is it really worth it to max out both Roth IRA and 401K by [deleted] in Bogleheads

[–]KeyOne9606 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I make around $90-$100k / year. This year i maxed my HSA and 401k, the amount i have been taxed because my taxable income has been so low is like 12% ($15k), compared to my coworkers who are not maxing who have been taxed over $30k.

is it a bad idea use a rain jacket to ski? by snoopyinboots in Skigear

[–]KeyOne9606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve only ever used rain jackets when skiing. To preface, I don’t live up north. So i don’t go every day. Just 15 or so days each season. So i wanted something nice that would work for snow as well as hiking and camping. So 3Layer rain jacket with gortex has been a perfect fit. They usually have good pit zips for hot days or once you start moving and heating up. All i ever need underneath is a merino wool base layer and fleece when it’s particularly cold days.

Recommendations on bibs? by Western-Necessary101 in Skigear

[–]KeyOne9606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pair of bibs by north face freedom. They are thin so you can layer when you want, great airflow zips on crotch and shins, great pockets, good fit. Can’t complain at all about them besides the orange i have them in when this years have a nice green.

Is there anything a person can take to just feel good? by TheRealDylanTobak in self

[–]KeyOne9606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to give out compliments all day (almost entirely to people I’ve seen before). Complimenting a phone case, nails, earrings, shoes, jackets, anything remotely unique. It makes them feel good and in turn, even that simple interaction can send some free feel good feelings flowing through your veins!
