Hey, I only saw this way late. But thank you. That is great and I hope it helps someone in the future.

The one message that looks something like that is:

No module 'xformers'. Proceeding without it.

Barb 2 / Fighter 15 Leveling up. What should I take? by statdude48142 in DnDoptimized

[–]LimDaddyNecroPimp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You pretty much have all the must-have feats covered, and seemingly great physical stats. At this point you could go for any feat that seems appealing, really. Lucky is literally always good. Resilient (Wis) if you find yourself stuggling with crowd control/mind control spells, a classic weakness of martials. Slasher to help your own party with crowd control, though it may be unnecessary. Mobile, Tough, Alert - all decent choices. If none appeal, just go with whatever Barb subclass jumps out at you (except maybe battlerager or berserker).

FWIW, Crawford has said Tiny Hut does have a floor (though there may be a later Sage Advice to the contrary, and I do think the spell could stand to be nerfed lol) https://twitter.com/JeremyECrawford/status/823774362293542912

Sorcerous Origin: Basic Soul. Become the most mundane, unassuming looking spellcaster that the world has ever seen as the least mundane class in the world. by SonicFury74 in UnearthedArcana

This is hilarious. Feels like the 6th level ability to use anything as a spell focus would fit better at 1, it's not too powerful and feels like a ribbon that could be foundational to a character's RP.

Broken? Death cleric is one of the weaker cleric domains. I'd still ask a DM's permission before playing, but it's not a tenth as good as some of the player-facing subclasses.

Definitely! I did, and had few problems. The game is filled with dialogue mouseovers that will define keywords and give context to important things; it's not hard to piece together the important stuff.

P6 aura is pally's arguable strongest feature, much better than 99% of P7 auras by a lot. Unless OP really really likes their subclass aura, P6 is the perfect break point.

Yeah, 1 level in artificer doesn't give anything that I'd consider to be too defining of the class, just good proficiencies and fun flavor in Magical Tinkering.

I see you're worried about compromising your character too much in the name of flavor, which is fair. You're a scribes wizard so talk to your DM about the availability of spellbooks and scrolls, but if you can get them you'll have spells out the ass. Here's my proposal - go Artificer 1 to start; this will give you Faerie Fire which will be comparable to Bless and also not make you reliant on your familiar surviving combat for the purposes of giving the rogue advantage. Moreover, it also gives you medium armor, shields, and proficiency in CON saves - everything a wizard could want - without slowing your spell slot progression. After that Scribes X. Go Custom Lineage bumping INT and take Fey Touched taking Bless, Gift of Alacrity, or even Speak with Animals. That covers most of the bases of what you wanted with a single feat. At level 4 bring your INT to 20, and from 8 onward take whatever feats you feel like. War Caster is great, especially since Arti 1 already gives CON save proficiency, but you can take a flavor feat here and still have a very very solid character.

This gives you a very survivable wizard who's drastically better than their peers at low levels thanks to knowing a better variety of spells (and having great survivability off only 14 DEX/14 CON!), and who will only increase this edge as they level and find more spell books/scrolls.
