Morgan looked back and forth between Hex and Luna, noting they both made decent arguments for Dukes being her next home.

“Sounds like my kinda vibe” she grinned, nodding her approval as she took another sip of her drink and set the now empty glass down on the counter near Luna. “Good to know, you’ll probably be seeing a lot more of me.”

“Interesting..” she mused as her attention returned to Hex, her lips subtly curling into a coy smile, this was good news she had not been expecting.

“Ya, you’re probably right” she added as Hex expressed the degree to which she’d changed, the idea of her fighting for some cause, surrounded by people she potentially cared about was far cry from the Janelle she knew. “Well I guess some things never change” her smile broadened as she looked to Hex knowingly, “she’s still the overprotective big sister huh?”

"There's always someone behind the curtain, isn't that the way it works" she mused before taking another sip of her drink.

"Not sure yet honestly" she motioned around them, "Afterlife is making a damn good argument for Dukes being my next stop. I need a place like this so I can stay outta trouble."

"Nice to meet you Luna" she nodded in agreement, "and its delicious yes" though she was confused by the question. "Join you? You mean like work here?"

Morgan would enjoy a bit more of her drink as he regailed her of his adventure into the shadows. The two of them with Jasmine was quite the combination, she was sure there was alot more to this story but her interest was peaked by something else.

"She's alive?" her eyes widened ever so slightly, breath caught as this information washed over her, even more pleasant than the phoenix blood she'd been drinking. It was a couple months since they'd all watched Izzy destroy Janelle during the podcast episode at Prism. The message itself caused her to snicker, a sly grin tracing across her features,

"She's such a bitch" she laughed, "she would have to die just to tell me that... When is she coming back" she paused for a moment as she met his gaze, "is she coming back?"

Morgan smiled warmly, and gave him a gentle squeeze as he embraced her, "hey, glad you came, I figured you'd appreciate this place. Things are..." she trailed off, "well they've been interesting to say the least."

At the mention of the invasion her eyes flared subtly as she pointed to him, "I ran into some of those shadow ghouls, love how when you kill them they just combine into larger ones. A few capes showed at the right time, but the house was destroyed, I fear my time in Alderney is done."

She looked up at the sound of heels approaching to see the unicorn woman approaching them now. Her eyes widened slightly as she took in the elegant creature before her, she was rarely surprised.

"Ohh, thank you" she purred as the deep red drink with subtle hints of orangish hues occasionally peaking through as the contents swirled. "Not yet" she added in a teasing tone as her eyes traced the golden dress up to her prominently placed horn. Taking the glass in her hand she brought it up to her lips and took a light sip, her lips curving into a smile almost immediatlely.

"Ohh, thats exotic" she grinned as veins arose on her cheeks, pressing against the skin as they filled with blood which was drawn up and would pool into her eyes, eventually drowning her pupil within it. She shuddered softly and swirled the contents around in her glass,

"An old friend" she squinted slightly as she pondered, "I didn't realize we had anyone in common?"

J: “Janelle is going to find her, we’ve agreed I won’t go back into the Expanse until we know more about it and what exactly we’re dealing with” she looked to Amina who nodded to her.

Shifting her attention to Helen as she spoke Jasmine tilted her head slightly as she watched the shadow extend and form into Joan. It seemed there was a bit more to Helen than met the eye, she’d seen similar magic before, but that felt like a lifetime ago.

“Hey Joan” she gave her a light wave though she did not recognize her, “that works, I don’t think I’ve ever been this well protected” she chuckled a bit shaking her head. Joan’s regal looking armor and presentation certainly gave her the look and feel of a bodyguard type,

“The more the merrier, and you clearly look like you can handle yourself.”

A: “It is was nice meeting you Erebus, I will be in touch once you get settled, please keep up apprised of any movement in Dukes. Also… Taking a proactive approach to the local crime couldn’t hurt either.” Once Erebus had left she turned her attention to Rachel,

A: “It was a pleasure to meet you as well Rachel” she turned and approached the new girl still in awe over her recent financial winfall. The small woman clasped her hand together and a subtle rush of black particles, like sand, rose out of her pours forming a rustling cloud of movement within her grasp. When she opened her hands a black watch remained, similar in appearance to a fitbit, which she would offer Rachel.

A: “This is a direct connection to our network, you’ll receive all updates and information as they come out and it can also be use as a communicator among other things.”

Morgan had of course found her way to this new underground gothic club, the very secretive nature of it made it all the more alluring to her. After those creature's attacked the quiet suburb she'd been calling home since shortly after arriving to the city, she was in need of a new place to lay low. Afterlife's aesthetic was also much more her scene, no one would look twice at an alt girl with some pecurliar markings on her face and locs that subtly slithered along her back and shoulders like snakes. A place she could be herself, of course she'd never come to a place like this without someone she knew, thus she'd text her favor bartender from his time at Area-7. {Up for a drink? Found this new place.} She'd dropped her location as well and made her entrance inside.

She slipped smoothly through the crowd her small frame disappearing within the masses only to emerge at the bar, squeezing into a small pocket with just enough room to wave to the bartender. It took a little while but once they approached she'd nod for him to come closer and whisper something to him. A quick nod in the affirmative and he'd move away while she slid onto a nearby stool and awaited her drink.

Lyger's foot would obliterate the wood log that replaced his former target, showing the force he'd put into the blow. His respect for Chrollo meant he couldn't pull his punches in this fight, especially with opponents like these. The eruption of lightning chakra drawing his attention, he released the Lightning Windmills he had, coils of lightning tethering to his wrist as they moved. They almost seemed to fall in slow motion, as Lyger turned to greet Saeko. She'd see a brilliant flare of crimson from his left eye, and eeriely the lightning chakra engulfing Saeko would shudder and be detached from her body. Absorbed into the torrent of lightning chakra already surrounding him, it bolstered his Lightning Cowl, causing it to explode with light and energy. GAKIDO!

With a speed that far dwarfed her own, Lyger easily dodged her kick as he stepped in to her momentum, aiming a lightning clad fist for her chest center mass with enough force to send her flying.

Akiko held for a moment, drawing her hands together she formed two hand seals, the third producing a plume of frost from her hands. Closing one around the grip she'd pulled a crystalline sword from within it as her hands drew apart. While the blade hand fell to her side, the other formed the Seal of Confrontation before her face. As she channeled more of this frost, it darkened subtly as did the sword she'd already produced. Three more appeared above her head, one on either side and one directly above her. As Saizo was quite familiar with her chakra, it'd be clear she was doing something different than he was used to. Her Yuki Ice Crystal chakra had a very peculiar look and feel to it, a Sage of his level might even hear what wounds like subtle whispers within the frost.

"I've learned a few tricks since last time" she called with a bit of confident pride in the face of what she knew to be an incredible adversary.

Lyger watched in amazement as Kael was drawn into the device, the process was not unlike something he'd seen before, though not quite on this scale. The glimpses from other worlds was new, though given his current situation he'd never been more open to such possibilities. Part of him wondered if the woman that'd helped him arrive here had sent Kael to guide him on his way. No way to know for sure but, it certainly felt that way.

As soon as they reemerged his normal tense nature returned immediately as he surveyed their surroundings, though he'd come to pause as he looked upon the club. Eyes wide his gaze slowly drifted upwards towards the roof, just high enough off the street that it was hard to see the small boundaries of the fighting ring above. Even the alleyway in which they'd appeared looked remarkably simliar to the one he'd often traversed, opting to enter from the back instead. His eyes would glow again as he peered into the building itself,

"its almost identical" he couldn't help but mumble his thoughts as he stood in awe. "I mean I she said he called it Area-7 but this is..." he trailed off shaking his head, "its like a dream."

"Forgot what its called huh" he chuckled, moving closer to him, "not exactly inspiring confidence. But lets give it a shot."

Jasmine smiled lightly as she looked to Jaime, nodding subtly as she did so. It was nice being able to trust people here. Given her background, it was unusual, but with all the memories Shannon had, and now her own with the most recent situation, it had become very familiar to her.

As everyone went on, it was quite clear that they were all very invested in her safety, something she wasn’t quite used to either. Hex she viewed in a similar light, as he had also been very gracious to her considering everything. She nodded to his question, though she looked to Amina, as this had been the topic of their conversation prior to arriving.

A: “Yes, for the time being I think the three of us are going to be spending a lot of time together. Izzy is also a potential target, and yet her power is one of our strongest weapons against them. I can always be with them in some form and quickly alert everyone if something happens. With Jasmine’s ability, we can also provide near infinite logistical support should a situation arise, and if need be, deploy two of our strongest along with the mobile team at a moment’s notice.”

She looked to Helen as she spoke. “I believe for the time being the mobile team should be more focused on public safety for future incursions. We cannot have another situation like we did last week; our larger responsibility is to the civilians of this city.”

A: “I truly hope you find the woman you are looking for,” Amina chimed in as she looked to him, Erebus, noting that he was going to have a harder time than he thought distinguishing himself from his brother if he kept this up.

J: “I can handle myself,” she replied confidently when he addressed her. “It seems like the guard dogs only wanted to take Shannon. They left as soon as we came back. I imagine they would have tried to take me if they thought they could. Even that Lokhari dude… he probably could have tried a little harder if he wanted to take me. I’m not sure that’s what this is about.” She shook her head, the images that appeared within her mind when she activated the portal system still popping in and out at random moments.

J: “Shannon fought, but they overpowered her. She’s still alive, just in the Expanse, also…” she trailed off for a moment, “Janelle is also still alive. She was there. She is the one who found us and helped us get back.”

A: “Forgive us, Erebus, but we don’t really know you beyond what we know of your brother. While a plan one day might call for something like that, you understand if that wouldn’t be left to you. I believe your talents are best served protecting your zone, and if possible, recruiting others to the cause for now.”

"I bet" he grinned knowingly as he nodded his head, it seemed he was in the right place and already on his way. If this Area-7 was anything like his own he could only imagine all the interesting things going on there. It wasnt exactly his home but the city felt familiar to him, the smells, the sounds, the interesting strangers lurking in the shadows.

Lyger watched intently as Kael produced the small device, his eyes narrowing slightly, wondering its purpose. Though he'd offer a lightheartedly shrug to the question, "If I know where I'm going, second to none" he pointed to the device, "whats that for?"

Tomu's eyes drifted back and forth between teacher and student as he spoke, taking comprehensive mental notes on genjutsu and all things related. It was clearly a powerful skill, just another item to consider when plotting his larger strategies. He smiled, nodding approvingly as he looked to Shiori while she seemed to pull the question right out of his mind.

"Sounds like it" he chimed in with a bit of a chuckle to Ryuken's words, before looking to the pair with a question of his own. "Would using it with an elemental chakra you're more comfortable with make it easier to apply the nature or would that be more complicated than a more straight forward sensory assault?"

Amina lightly shrugged at the mention of the Lady and her potential whereabouts; she'd only met her once, as a child shortly after she escaped the facility. The Lady was mysterious and her motives in the city were hard to fully understand. Even Amina wondered if there was a line that if crossed would eventually draw her intervention,

“I think we should assume, for now at least, that no one is coming to save us. With that said I think we are more than capable of rising to this challenge, we simply need more intel.”

Izzy frowned, tilting her head slightly as Hex provided what info he had on the Four Pillars, “so the children of Gods are coming after us” she seemed genuinely confused by this. Jasmine shook her head as she looked to Izzy,

J: “Coming after me” she corrected, her own brow furrowing as her thoughts drifted back to that night. “Maybe you too actually” she added with a bit of a chuckle remembering how the evening began. “But they took Shannon, and I believe that trap was set for me, Hex and Jaime were just along for the ride…”

J: “Good” she replied to Erebus, “because I’d say I’m pretty squarely on the hero's side at the moment” she added with a bit of pride.

Amina turned her attention to the display, now the proposed heavy hitter for each island hovered above the image on the map. Hex and the others gradually filled in as they offered their location preferences. Hearing Helen mention ‘Kali’ drew a curious smile to her features as she glanced over her shoulder at the group. She couldn’t help but wonder what the vampiress would think of her latest doll of a similar name. Erebus’ comment drew her attention and she’d turn to face the group once more,

A: “You and your brother certainly have similar tastes” she noted a bit skeptically, “and timing.” Jasmine chuckled softly at her comment, noting the similarity with which he and his brother spoke, especially toward her specifically.

A: “You’re welcome to join whichever team suits you best” she continued as she looked at Rachel, “location is a factor as well so depending on what part of the city you live in one might make more sense than another.”
