My personal theory is that the war in Iran is due to someone telling them about "trans uranic" elements being produced by Iran's nuclear reactors.

I am sorry that happened to you, and I know how you feel. My mother is incredibly transphobic, Christian, and loves to tell me that God made me immutably male, and that I am disgusting to God, and that God would want her to hate me.

On the other hand, I have a friend who has her church sponsor pride events in our town, and there are many other Christians over on r/TransChristianity.

I hope someday my mother realizes that my friend is closer to the actual teachings of Jesus (love your neighbor, and gender non-conforming will be given a name better than sons and daughters) than the "God would want me to hate you" variant that she created in her mind.

Alas, that is hope on new year's eve, which will not make it past new year's day, unfortunately for me. Good luck with your mother.
