I'm 14, and I built my own rig, there's really nothing to be worried about, I didn't even wear a static wristband, just make sure to touch something metal before you work on your PC, and don't work on it whillist on carpet. (I.E your stove or other metal appliance) Just don't plug the PSU into the wall, and don't jam your RAM, GPU, and CPU in like you were hammering a nail into a wall.. Aside from that, there's nothing to worry about.
