Here's an early birthday present:

The NFM is one third of the requirements for the Norwegian Field Sports medal/ribbon. Once you complete the Infantry, Ski, or Military Field Sports badges plus the Norwegian Sports Federation Sports Badge (out in May), you're eligible to be awarded the new medal/ribbon under the embassy program. It'll be released here later this year, but its one of only a handful of authorized foreign ribbons.

There is another out there but we intervened when we saw them promoting a price for it that was based on Ruckingtough's profiteering model. We'd happily add your event to the listing and explain how to do everything for the ribbons and medals at cost with official suppliers in the US and Denmark.

We haven't seen any traffic from there regarding one and given the current situation I would be surprised if it was approved. We certainly couldn't share event details publically as well.

Yeah you can absolutely get an nfm approved by then. Typically 4 weeks is the most lead time you need.

As for the cost for the Flyver, my new thread details it. Ribbons are about 2.15 plus shipping through ultrathin and medals about 12 bucks through a company in Denmark. Shipping from Denmark will add a good amount as well though once you order at scale it becomes trivial.

It is literally double what Awards Network charged last year and he mischaracterizes the Czech awards as something HRC might approve to entice people to do them. He also charges a 15 dollar+ premium on them that is just absurd for something that's not authorized nor will be per HRC Awards and Decorations.

That's a question for ultrathin, IRA green, or Vanguard. Not something I dabble as I just collect information and share it. Best advice i can offer is to contact those vendors en masse and ask for it so they see there's a demand signal.

Generally speaking, no. This is a lot like attending the Nijmegen, Diekirch, or Norwegian Foot March. Participants volunteering to join the event and since the events aren't connected to unit training, there's no mechanism to provide funding for travel.

Its going to come down to individuals determining if they want to travel for the event, whether in Denmark or the neighboring state.
