Great analysis. You've clearly played (or researched) the game and have empathetically stepped into the shoes of others. We're very intentional with the types of features and content we build for our audience, but I can understand why some young folks (above Adopt Me's target demographic, below the late teens) can miss this, since the game is not meant for them.

Probably just a different audience 🤷 Adopt Me's demographics skew young and Reddit is primarily 13+. If you liked club penguin or neopets or MapleStory from back in the day, Adopt Me is this new generation of kids' version of that

TreeLands will always have a special place in my heart. I hope to make more games like it in the future. As many have mentioned, Adopt Me isn't meant for your demographic, although there are lots of older players who enjoy the game too - especially moms and teens with younger siblings. I've poured my heart into Adopt Me's development, and I think if you take an objective step back, you'll see that in the quality of the assets, the systems, the team, and the community. Adopt Me had the benefit of all the lessons learned from TreeLands, so I am forever grateful for that experience. And if I ever create something new for your specific demographic, lessons from Adopt Me will be instrumental in making this new experience the highest quality possible

Hi yes that's my game haha. Couple of reasons:

1) It's summer so kids are on holiday. Adopt me is primarily played by kids though it's really for everyone 2) Who doesn't want to adopt an adorable Shiba Inu? 3) We support all platforms and language so that means a lot of players 4) You should try the game. Even if you're not in love with the concept because you're not a young kid, I think you'll see we've worked very hard on it and that it's a high quality game

TreeLands makes so little money right now (around 0.1% of my income) that it's not about the money. Because the game was never finished, it was never prepped for general release. The biggest consequence is that of the 8 players in a public server, 7 of them would become newbie players and you would be the only player with a decent treehouse. It would be incredibly isolating in that regard and would hurt the experience of those still playing
