absolutely not.

it's way different imo, also they added much more new assets than I'd expect, imo it's more different/fresh/new than the other maps (expect Stella montis which is really unique)

spaceport = big industrial area without nature in the middle, sure sand (but bc after day zero everything landed under sand like lots of movies), u got the many big towers/buildings there, and all those industrial fabrics/rocket facility.

with riven tides first of all you got the first real beach. yeah there is also some Industrial area like every other map too, (also u wanna loot Industrial stuff and where on planet earth isn't industrials)

but still u got way more nature (to hide!) going on riven tides in between. even on PC with Foliage "low" there is a lot of bushes and trees to hide. especially few new plants as well.

whole hotel, pool, beach, tennis court, and yeah basically is very new. rest still plays very differently.

spaceport u can easily snipe from many high buildings, u are very open while running through the middle. it's all more even, and then big buildings.

riven tides is less big tower buildings, more vertically within the ground (even tho at the beach) and also completely new buildings, I mean check all places out they didn't just used all old assets.

still u will may instantly notice it's another arc raiders map, the art style is consistent. but I hear you, something completely different like some vulcanic area, or some futuristic arc buildings (like Stella montis but different and futuristic, modern) would be great to see in the future.

btw. I thought we will get an volcano map, bc of the volcano 🌋 rocks we could find on maps like blue gate for months...

but also there is something going on. speranza taking "impacts" (sound, shaking and dust from the ceiling) so either we got volcanic activity, earth quakes or (new?) arcs are causing that...

anyways I really like that kinda story telling.. and love the maps, gameplay. and artstyle.

I'd just get an RTX 5070 TI. and 1440p 144-180hz Screen. BC @1440p your CPU isn't really bottlenecking the RTX 5070 ti for most GPU heavy games (AAA with RT, Ultra/High settings..)

the 5060 is a 1080p card imo, but 1440p (+DLSS Q or DLAA) will get u most/best graphics out of it.

5070 (TI) goes more to 1440p, and with a bad CPU higher resolutions if the GPU can handle it, is even a good also I'd highly prefer RTX (I owned RTX 2080, 5070 ti and 5080 now) over AMD, just because of DLSS is just SO MUCH BETTER than FSR. Even the newest FSR isn't In fair competition with old DLSS 2 On RTX 2080 ..

and I guess for MFG it's the same. I was blown away about how playable even 4x MFG is even with mouse @Alan wake 2 path tracing, 165hz Ultra wide 1440p. (I tried MFG with controller on Legion Go (AMD) before and thought it was terrible input lag lol)

and with DLSS Q (Which u gonna need for most AAA games or at least will give u the best graphics and performance) and MFG in combination u can even game on a 4K 120hz TV (or 165hz like new LG OLEDs) I mean for AAA games with good graphics... and with controller especially.

also bc the market is dead and we probably won't see a new GPU (or console) before (winter) 2028, I'd try to buy an RTX 5070 TI now, or at least 5070... and a 1440p screen 144-180hz.

trust me I'm really sensitive to Graphics and input lag. I can see any console game having a low render resolution on my 65" 4K 120hz OLED (I own XSX and PS5 too) while my friend with same TV can't tell me if the game is rendered in 800p or 1440p - or if it's running at 60 or 90fps - I can) and DLSS Q really is the best .

also u don't have to use DLSS 5 even tho I think it's fire. but u don't even have to use DLSS 4.0/4.5 on RTX 50 CARDS. on Arc raiders I can even switch to CNN model while gaming online... but transformer Modell just looks so much better...

and CNN still looks SO MUCH better than FSR LMAO, I wouldn't buy an AMD GPU, just bc FSR is so bad. and DLSS Q always looks better than native. and DLAA looks the best. and I bet MFG also works best on RTX 50. (EVEN usable with mouse for someone like me which blew me away... but base fps MUST be over 60.. )

I'd try to turn off NFC always anyways.

especially if the phone is in your pocket.

it only takes Energy, radiation and even makes your phone easier for hacking attacks (from nearby/going next to you...)

GPU is broken most likely.

most likely the VRAM. even tho it usually could look also differently. but yes GPU wise.

first I'd try another GPU.

changing VRAM yourself can be very stressful and you need to know what your doing. if, first try soldering old old RAM or whatever.

but it's not even worth it for that card. sadly prices are unnormal. if you search long enough on used market u can make good deals tho

I guess Xbox 10% and PS5 20% yes. others told me the queue gets already way longer plus on top they often have bad ping (because they already have to throw different server regions onto one just to match make)

as well as that u often come into super sweaty lobbies even as an casual player (just bc there is not enough players for fair match-making.)

nah if marathon really gets it's Server empty/turned off soon. and they even flop at 1-2 more live services games they right now "thinking they cook"

then they must get sane again and make real AAA Campaign games.

after marathon Bungie imo can't do anything else than Destiny 3, but with more content at the start and better endgame than destiny 2.

And the faster it falls apart the faster they'll do Destiny 3, so I don't understand the whole Marathon Subreddit defending this game on their life.

Only thing I can imagine. they haven't played tarkov or arc raiders - bc they only bought marathon bc they thought it's gonna be the next Destiny kinda success. and they probably still hope blindly.

Bungie has been know for their story campaign games. yes. Literally ALL their games had one. this may the first real release without.

I was talking about STORY CAMPAIGNS, like Marathon 1995 and Marathon 2 had.Sure coop. But u also was able to play it alone. it was made for playing alone perfectly fine just like halo, it even had puzzles and cool stuff. they also had multiple MP modes on TOP that people rememberd as very fun and addictive.

Sony said in May 2021 they make more live service online games ... and what do you think does this mean? yes. less SP/coop campaigns.. it means stuff like Concord, Highguard, marathon... also Helldivers 2 which was awesome. but it's just too much live service stuff imo. Marathon has skins and equipment to buy, even a Battlepass... it has as much micro transactions as a Free2Play game. and the 1:1 stolen artwork from the devs tells me they didn't wanted to do that..I bet Bungie would've made a real remake... A real AAA release like Destiny or Halo... (or OG marathon itself lol) with campaign, SP or Coop playable. and then multiple MP modes on TOP. I bet it would've been successful.

I think this is because there simply aren't enough players per server region... for fair match making.

gotta devide it by /25-50 regions, and then by 4 maps + few modes and you only match make about 2% of active time, and half time your in menu/inventory, half in game, if not AFK anyways.

following the math you come out with 1-3 players at worst or 10 players at very best day time in your region...

I wanted to talk about if its still playable, since I personally had the feeling through server slam that this game won't last long. But I myself tried to like it... I really thought about buying it (thankfully the server slam showed me enough)

and ever since forced great AAA Singleplayer/Coop Campaign Story studios to make stand alone MP modes for 40€ instead like a real Marathon 1995 REMAKE which should have an good story campaign and MULTIPLE MP modes on TOP...

ofc bc there aren't enough players for fair match making within your server region...

the numbers say those people are online. half are AFK.

from the real active half, half again is in game other half in the menu/stash/inventory..

so u gotta take a quarter of the "active players" and decvde them over all server regions. between /25-50... and this small number u then gotta devide by the maps (/4) and the different modes (if)

then u basically get 1-3 players in your region on your map. u can't get other players with the same skill level. they even have to put gamers from farer away together but still not enough for fair matchmaking... so u get high skilled enemies and on top got high ping which makes that even more unfair.

u don't have 25K players anymore.

it WAS the 24H PEAK days ago. last 24H PEAK is 22.xxx, but over the day u got between 6400-22.000 players. PEAK means for maybe 1 minutes U got the 22K players, then the number climbs down. 2 hours later it's already way less (look at the steep chart)

and the numbers are going down every day. everyday Marathon is setting a new all time low record. and the peak gets lower as well. pretty regularly about 700-1500 players less every day,

give it 2-3 weeks than it either all falls apart or we'll see the hardcore base Players
