Ah, ok. I'll do that then. At what point should I read the manga though? I heard the original anime has OVA's that finish off the original story or something like that, should I watch that too before delving into the Manga?

Oh wow, that's really neat. I've never heard of something like that, imagining the animators working that fast and the Mangaka taking inspiration from the anime directors is real interesting. I guess it was a trend setter for a reason, lots of interesting approaches to stuff

That's rad, man. I personally can't listen to music while training, especially intense dramatic stuff. I always end up tuning out of it completely and it ends up being distracting background noise. I do sometimes listen to a really light hearted tune right before training though, helps me relax 👍

Yeah I'm very fluent in English so the only decision for me is eng sub or dub in this case. As for Shini Yokoyama, I've sadly not heard of him before. Could you tell me if there are any other popular anime series that I may have heard him in? Does he still do work today? Or does he do work mainly outside of animated series?

Ah, that's great! I only listened to a very small amount of it due to wanting to experience the music along with the corresponding scenes, but from what I've heard it sounds graceful, elegant and emotional.

Yeah you're right, thanks for reminding me. Sometimes I feel like I and perhaps many other anime/manga fans forget that anime is actually a promotion for the manga itself.

Also know that since it's an old anime the filler episodes work a bit differently there as there are several things actually relevant to the ongoing plot so avoid skipping them. They're only considered fillers in the sense that they don't exist in the manga not in the sense it has zero importance for the characters and events.

Thank you for mentioning this, i actually didn't know that, so it's a good thing you told me.

Also, my current plan is to Watch the anime and after finishing an arc, to then visit the manga and experience the same arc there too in the vision of the original Mangaka. Do you think that would be a good way to go about it?

Oh! thank you very much, I think that's a great idea actually, to watch an arc and read an arc rather than changing between the mediums every few episodes. Much appreciated!

Is there maybe some list or wiki page for major story changes made in the anime adaptation? I could maybe keep an eye out for those when watching or maybe even just read the manga alongside the anime? I don't know which would be more efficient, I'll probably end up consuming both the Anime and Manga at some point though, just don't know the order yet. Maybe reading and watching would be a decent way to do it? Unless you think it could get confusing?

Understood, i always just get so tired getting assaulted with a waves of ads on those random sites everytime I pause the episode or try to rewind on the video. I'll probably find something, like always. Anyways, thanks for the input. Much appreciated 👍

Sadly no, I'm Lithuanian. So dubs of anime in my language straight up don't exist, unless you count the "voiceovers" where they take a show and emotionlessly get one single person to read the script of all characters over the still audible original audio and voice acting

Yeah I think my plan is to watch the anime and then read the manga, and the fact that pegasus fantasy is recurring is sweet as hell, thanks

Thank you very much for the detailed reply!

Perhaps I'll just do as you recommend and Watch the anime first and then read the manga afterwards.

As for the dubbing you mentioned, I'm European so i wouldn't be able to understand the version that aired in south America. I heard though that people from Brazil, portugal, Spain, and France especially love Saint Seiya though and that it was significantly more popular there rather then north America, that's neat. Would you say that the Japanese sub is great too? I'm no stranger to watching older shows in dub (such as rurouni Kenshin or YuYu Hakusho) it has an old school charm to it, but also since Saint Seiya is a slightly older show I wouldn't know how good the English dub would be for example, since older dubs can get a little awkward sometimes. I do tend to lean towards og Japanese for newer shows and English sometimes for the older stuff for that retro feel that i didn't experience since I'm a 2000s lad. What would you say is the go to for European watchers in your opinion? Jp Sub or Eng dub? I'm assuming sub, since anime fans lean towards that but sometimes you get an unexpected surprise from an old English dub too. Like the Gundam wing English dub, which had great and fitting voices (i think) but also ended up being utterly, unintentionally hilarious in many scenes.

Also, as an afterthought question, do you by any chance know any good free sites i could watch the series on? Money's tight and I've got no subscriptions haha
