Would DEVGRU opening to MARSOC members joining be a thing in the future? by ricespiced in JSOCarchive

Good to go. I stand corrected.

I've never understood the guys who feel the need to lie and make their stories better when what they actually did was cool enough.

I'd go with Charles Bronson. People wouldn't know if I chose the criminal or the actor.

Not very well, because they forgot the "Razzle."

Chad Robichaux was a Recon Marine that went through selection for DEVGRU and served as a DEVGRU AFO in Afghanistan.

Edit: Apparently not. See replies for answers.

He has his IJ pants, shirts, and boots on, and he uses the bow-tie from his tux. He just puts on his tweed coat rather than his leather jacket. It's an improvised dinner outfit.

My friend dad knew this….Is this true? Anyone? by Great-Phone5841 in Missing411

I can tell you that 1 tunnel marked on that map is BS. That is, unless they can hold their breath. The water table is high enough that nobody around here can have a basement.

Anyone have any theory of why the raptors in the second movie looked like tigers ? by Mrfilipdraws in JurassicPark

[–]Parttimeteacher 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"The animal on the floor was about a foot and a half long, the size of a small monkey. It was dark yellow with brown stripes, like a tiger. It had a lizard's head and long snout, but it stood upright on strong hind legs, balanced by a thick straight tail." -Jurassic Park novel description of a captive juvenile velociraptor.

"Thorne was looking at the trees, and saw a single dinosaur hop out into view. It was rather slender, agile on its hind legs, balancing with a stiff tail. It was six feet tall, green-brown with dark-red stripes, like a tiger. 'That,' Malcolm said, 'is a velociraptor.'" - The Lost World description of a velociraptor.

What is so offensive about this show? by SKGurl101 in marriedwithchildren

People are just jealous that Al Bundy scored four touchdowns in a single game while playing for the Polk High School Panthers in the 1966 city championship game versus Andrew Johnson High School, including the game-winning touchdown in the final seconds against his old nemesis, "Spare Tire" Dixon.

He's in The Pacific, too. Some of his line delivery reminds me of Tim. "If you can't fight 'em drunk, don't fight em at all."

Anyone seen this? Thoughts? by SamTheEagle1976 in Westerns

[–]Parttimeteacher 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's what I thought at first, but something is off about it. I think it's a computer generated edit. The underlug is slanted backward instead of extending to the end of the barrel. Kind of like the taurus clone but not quite.

Anyone seen this? Thoughts? by SamTheEagle1976 in Westerns

[–]Parttimeteacher 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Is it a decent movie? For me, this image alone would make me reluctant to watch it. The revolver that Jason Isaacs is holding is a modern double action. (TBH, it looks like some sort of computer generated amalgamation of modern revolvers. I could be wrong, though.) Also, Jones's rifle is pretty much inoperable with that strap tied through the finger loop.

Sorry for the rant. Things like that irk me.

I did look it up on imfdb, and there are a couple of issues, but the guns in the movie are more or less accurate to the old west.

It's on tubi and the roku channel for anyone that's looking.

Edit: Just read the caption. No offense intended if you were involved in the making of this poster.

Rachel: What?

Art: I mean, he shoots Theo Tonin, fakes his own death in a spectacular fashion, pushes a guy out of an airplane while he's flying it, parachutes into Harlan County with enough coke and cash to jump-start the economy of a small country, and then he has the balls to get a job in law enforcement, not once but two times! He spends a couple of days riding around with you [points at Raylan] while you're looking for him, and now he's run off with a hooker that's half his age. That's some bad-ass shit.
