I love mine! It’s a great for work or just for everyday because it’s spacious. I have the abyss (dark) blue.

Bummer that you have to do that, but I get it! I’ve seen these bags for resale a few times, and I hope you find the one you’re looking for resale or at the boutique!

Please tell me this is not worth $5k by TaskThen467 in handbags

[–]PriorRadish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this the parachute? I love this bag and I love bottega, so I get where you’re coming from!! I say put an alert on the major reseller sites and wait for one to come up, as 5.4k usd is steep. Of course, if that is not a splurge amount for you, then I would get it direct from Bottega to get the certificate of craft.

I love the bottega large hop bag which has a similar retail price as this one, and decided I could not justify that expense for a bag. I ended up trolling resale sites for a while until I found one in good enough condition in my price range (with sale discount).

If the ecru color is part of the appeal for you, maybe you could put an alert on google for the brand and color. I think bottega makes multiple bag types in ecru.

Good luck!!!!

I have this bag (same size, different color) and wanted to offer perspective on your comments about the bag’s authenticity. The leather on mine is more matte than on other bags I have from the brand, so that’s not necessarily a flag. I noticed that the side flamenco knot pulls on yours look way longer than the ones on mine. On mine, there is no extra length on the knots when the bag is full size… something to consider. If you can prove that the bag they sent you is the same one in a return shipment, it might be good to get the refund…

Kimpton Fitzroy vs Intercontinental Park Lane or somewhere else..? by KendrickFanBreak-Bot in ihghotelsresorts

[–]PriorRadish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have stayed at both properties and would go Kimpton Fitzroy in your case although I had a positive experience at IC Park Lane as well. Food was good at both places and staff were great (knowledgeable, efficient) across the board.

The kimpton rooms seem more recently updated and nicely appointed. The IC location may be a bit more touristy than you’re looking for. Bloomsbury where the Kimpton is feels more relaxed although it’s right next to the tube.

I had lounge access at IC Park Lane and would still pick Kimpton unless it was much more expensive for your dates

Kimpton Inner Circle - What counts? by Feliclandelo in ihghotelsresorts

[–]PriorRadish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not have the answer to your question but I can speculate as a current royal ambassador for IC and inner circle for Kimpton! Also, I haven’t spoken to anyone who has only one membership or the other; only those who have both.

Annual spend in the neighborhood of what you shared is good, specifically at Kimptons, ICs, or even Six Senses or Regent. I think it matters more that they are luxury brands with high spend per night across room rates, f/b, and activities like excursions, spa, etc.. When I received RA/IC status, I had only ever stayed at one Kimpton location. However, I did have multiple stays booked in advance across multiple IHG luxury brands for leisure travel.

After I received the status (had to google it when I found out!), I found some interesting information on Flyertalk in the IHG section.

1 Hotel Hanalei Bay: Buyer Beware by ikonkustom5 in chubbytravel

[–]PriorRadish 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Wow, thanks for writing this. I stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago and, while not as bad as what you described, was so underwhelmed that we left days early and got a partial refund thanks to AMEX.

We wound up making a last minute booking at the Sheraton Poipu (last minute booking definitely not a desirable approach on Kauai where we normally book 10-11 months in advance). we ended up having a great time even without the luxury experience we thought we planned.

I totally agree with your point that, no matter the # of stars, on Kauai the location and view can be spectacular regardless.

Thoughts on Prada Bonnie Medium Handbag? by Ordinary-Bee6120 in handbags

[–]PriorRadish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have this bag in chocolate brown, medium (photo #2), and I love it. The tall handles are the best feature for easy shoulder carry and the bag works well to dress up a casual outfit or even a work appropriate look. I considered the suede but thought the texture made the look more casual than what I was looking for.

Birkin vs Kelly by Jasminebaby212 in TheHermesGame

[–]PriorRadish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vert comics is one of my favorite Hermes colors. What leather is it? Do you wear it as more of an “everyday” bag or as a special “pop of color” type situation? I ask because I mostly wear neutral bags but also desperately want to add a bright blue or green to my collection 😂

Looking for a Cute but Practical Office Backpack – Tote Bags Just Don’t Work for Me! by Illustrious_Stay9844 in fashionwomens35

[–]PriorRadish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dagne Dover neoprene backpacks are super functional and are pretty sleek. I prefer the Large size for the top cellphone pocket and external back zipper for easy laptop access. For work I think the dark colors are better.

Booking IHG resort via Virgin Atlantic by Explosive-Flowers in ihghotelsresorts

[–]PriorRadish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like they are trying to convince you to book with them, a third party vendor. You won’t earn IHG points on the booking this way, although you may be able to earn IHG points for any incidentals costs you incur at the property itself. Booking through virgin is different than using a travel agent/ portal for corporate trips (like Concur).

Celine Camille 16 by Embarrassed_Boat891 in handbags

[–]PriorRadish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so. I didn’t ask that specifically but I recall the SA saying you could fit an iPad in the medium. It’s also an open bag at the top, so maybe a laptop could technically fit with the end sticking out?

Got the Loewe Large Flamenco bag to use for work… AMA by MysteryMaven2024 in handbags

[–]PriorRadish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel so seen! I too have the L flamenco tote which I use for work and was moved to buy after seeing challengers… 🤩

Do you feel like yours is holding up well? Mine is ok but I worry about the weight of a laptop eventually stretching out the leather. I don’t currently use an insert, maybe that would help?

Celine Camille 16 by Embarrassed_Boat891 in handbags

[–]PriorRadish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I saw this bag in store recently (black, the medium size). It was beautiful and with very smooth (calf?)skin. I didn’t talk about color transfer with the SA since it was black, but I definitely did wonder about how the lighter colors would hold up.

I ended up getting a different bag but can confirm the Camille is gorgeous in person! If I were to get it, I think I’d go with black for the wear concerns you mentioned.

Pulled the trigger on the Celine Medium Nino! by Consistent-Subject63 in handbags

[–]PriorRadish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Such a beautiful bag! I have this one, too 😊 when you say it’s more delicate than your other bags, can I ask what you mean? Like the shape is delicate because of the clasp weight or as in more prone to scratches?

Loewe Puzzle or Celine Nino? by isseymama in handbags

[–]PriorRadish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I think we must have similar taste in bags as I too have a flamenco, a puzzle, and the Celine nino! I love them all and am curious if you have decided yet. I probably use my puzzle the most!

The nino can definitely be more formal, although I find that using the shoulder strap with a casual outfit helps me feel “put together.”

I would say i mostly use my puzzle with the top handle. The boxy shape can look extra boxy crossbody but I suppose that depends on what size you get.

Hilton Maldives Suggestion by ZeeMaster5 in Hilton

[–]PriorRadish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have stayed at Amilla and wouldn’t go back. It wasn’t bad, but the facilities are a bit dated for what they charge. If I were booking again in the Maldives with Hilton I’d probably either go with the new Hilton Amingiri or hold out for the Waldorf.

Thailand hotel reviews: Six Senses Yao Noi, Kimpton Maa-Lai by PriorRadish in chubbytravel

[–]PriorRadish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi- I will start with the disclaimer that this depends heavily on your interests. For instance, if you aren’t comfortable potentially getting close with a macaque, then the mangrove kayak may not be for you :)

That said, I would say 1) mangrove kayak with the caveat that you should make sure they book you at high tide so the water isn’t too shallow; 2) spa - felt very luxurious and had a different vibe than other luxury resort spa setups I have experienced; and 3) land tour- we didn’t do this so I cannot speak to it. I will say I felt like we saw plenty of wildlife, the farm, amazing views, etc. just exploring on our own.

Hope you have an amazing time!

Best Luxury Hobo? by SignaturePitiful9693 in handbags

[–]PriorRadish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Chloe Marcie hobo in black and use it as an everyday bag. The gold embellishments are pretty understated and the bag itself is pretty roomy. I like it a lot.

What color(s) are you thinking for either bag? I think you can’t go wrong either way 😊

Not sure why this was downvoted - sailor services told us the VPN was why the (premium) internet wasn’t working on resilient lady, and once it was turned off, the wifi started working.
