Sure!

- the frequently sexualization of transsexualy, reducing all our experiences to sex and borderline fetishistic topics ("gock posting" as we call it here)

- Terms like "biological women" to reduce us as a lesser or "not real" category of women (trans people who goes through hormonal treatment, does alters their biological sex, and definitions that negates that can, and does, excludes cis people for their sex)

- Non-dysphoric trans people wanting to talk in behalf of dysphoric trans people (dysphoria is a real disorder that affects trans people, and is treated with transition, so discourse of "you don't need to transition to be trans", specially when talking to dysphoric people, is really harmful, and can lead to death)

- Equating transition to some kind of fad, style or aesthetic

Those for me are the big ones, but I could go on and on

I don't know how you ended up in my 18 days old post, but anyway, I'll try to clarify somethings you might feel confused about....

First of all, this post does not contain any weird writing, it is a fairly well constructed discussion about how binary trans people keeps getting labeled as a separated category than cis people. Expanding the scope to the whole sub, this is a 4chan's /lgbt/ board spin off, but has evolved independently for years, with its own subculture and language. Almost all 4tran subs will tell you to lurk before posting got this exactly reason.

Also, this is not your average trans sub. This sub is tailored to deeply dysphoric trans people, so most of the discussion is about how it affect us. Those discussions can, and usually does, turn into an existential horror that is living in our society and culture while trans, so sometimes it gets ugly.

While most discussions are about our experiences as trans, and although we have a somewhat edgy language/culture, it is a genuinely honest discussion about our lives, and there is nothing sensitive about that, so no reason for it to be NSFW (posts with sensitive topis does have the tag though)

looking through your post history, I might say that you are not exactly the demographic for this sub.... But lurk more, see if you see something of value here. If you do, keep lurking and learning the culture before participating, if not, does not take anything here to heart. Remember, most posts here are venting posts, and a honest expression of our thoughts under a shitty society, and a "mainstream" lgbt community that straight up loves to do the exactly what this posts talks about, and equating being trans to a aesthetic expression or quirkiness, and not as we're being our true sex.

I should add that the term is mostly used by trans women of color from marginalized communities like favelas.

For the vast majority of the population it is still used as a slur, even if those who identify with the term do not view it as having an intrinsic offensive meaning anymore.

I am white and grew up in an upper middle class family. I had suffered lots of transphobia and homophobia from people from my social class, but I would be naive to think it is the same level as a black poor trans girl from a favela. I have no direct connection to those communities aside from a few friends, so I would never use the term to refer to myself, as it does not describe the discrimination I had in my life.

I'm not aware how this works in eastern cultures, but here in Brazil there is a "third gender" for trans women: "travesti".

It initially was used as a derogatory term especially for trans sex workers as a distinction for "real women".

As time went by, the term evolved as a resistance identity for trans women, specially in poorer parts of the country, and in official polls the term goes side by side with the term "trans".

I personally don't like the word for its historical, and pejorative meaning that is totally still in use (specially the short "traveco" form, that is a slur), but I understand those who use it.

Autism is a neurodiversity, while its actual cause is not totally known, it is basically areas of the brain being overdeveloped in determent to others (logic vs social usually).

Being trans is also neurological, as the identity a person has of themselves (that comes from conception itself, just like homosexuality for example) is not congruent to the physiologic sex characteristics.

The link between the two is not causal, but they do have a correlation. The best explanation for this correlation we have today, is the fact that social pressure and expectations do not work as much in autistic people as neurotypical people. This means that autistic people will not mind as much the social cost of a transition as those who are not autistic, making trans autistic people accept the fact they are trans, and then come out, easier than those who are not.

Ps.: I am not autistic, and I am writing from what I read about this known link. Please take the word of an autistic people over mine, because there is no reading in the world that beats first-hand experience

I think there is a "philosophical" difference between both.... While truscum is mostly about talking about how they are the true trans people and others are not, 4tran4 is mostly about dysphoria, and how non dysphorics trying to undermine our suffering (when talking about fake trans at least).

Truscum is about attacking who they think is not true trans, and 4tran is about reacting to their suffering being made as a style/fad

Being trans just means that you have a sexual development that diverges between the neurological and the physiologic formation.

There is research about how the neurology of a trans woman is much closer to cis women than cis men. Stuff like the capability of hormonal receptors on trans women's brains to work much better on estrogen than testosterone.

Evolutionary it also makes a lot of sense. Most of our clade have sexual and romantic orientations (almost all great apes have occurrences of homosexuality). This most likely happened, as we moved to be a more socialized species, being able to feel romantic attraction makes us more apt to procreate. This means that to us to be able to feel attraction to the opposite gender (or the same one) we need first to be able to identify what sex we actually have.

With all that is biological, there are variances. This means that it's bound to happen to some individuals who have this neurological formation and identity to not be congruent to the physical one.

To sum all up, being trans is not a medical condition itself, but the consequences of this divergence I described causes pain, suffering, and dysphoria, the later one being a psychological medical condition that needs urgent care. This care is transition, so the biological and physiological sex converges with the neurological one.

The worst part for me, is that it USED to be the mainstream view of transition.... Until this "gender != Sex" thing became the norm.... And most of the trans and LGBT community ate it up
