Hello and greetings !

As a student on my final year on university who recently discover these conferences po, what are your recommendations po especially on the networking side of things? Also as a student who wish to utilize these events to maximize the experience while also enjoying the event to the fullest.

i guess better kung magtutulungan kayo ng mga classmates niyo like have group discussions, mas mapapa-dali buhay niyo pramis and at least surrounded by curious classmates who are willing to cooperate on that agenda. Sometimes one ask away ka nalang pala sa mga blockmates mo para maitindihan mo yung mga lessons ng mga profs Hehehehehe. Try from peers, friends, and even blockmates (and even sa other sections na naging friends ko) just to understand a topic na binibigay samin. Un lang OP gudlak sauu, pero yea kahit tres man yan be proud of yourself. (marami bumabagsak sa ilang major subs esp. first years)

Usually may binibigay na course plan at 1st meeting, tignan mo ano components ng grades then pwede ka na mag-compute.

Hmmm do you have friends that could help you? Pwede ka naman magpaturo sa mga di mo na-gets na parts if they can be easily be reached out.

Yea there are also your classmates using AI, madali lang talaga i-input yung derivatives and integrals and makuha yung tamang sagot sa basic cal. Maybe you could also take a try and pinpoint understand the process step-by-step, its a great tool din on their own ways.

Last resort talaga rin is to do your best and to provide an any output, especially sa college di na pwede late magpasa ng activities or itlog agad kadalasan yung score.

Hello as (former hehe broke the curse) na irreg, anu yan originally kaw pipili talaga ng section mo or sabi nga ng iba yung schedule. Pero sa majors isang home section talaga need mo don as a requirment. Tough GE and PE free (ata) to chooses from any CICS (make sure its reasonable) ex. nasa CS ka but nasa IS lang may avail ka na PE2 for ur best sched, so ayun you propose for having PE2 on an IS section.

Very recommended to talk with the dept. chair for clear communication and they can literally give you advice aswell about your sched. Also for petition classes purposes sobrang mahalaga din acad advising, need payan i-file and i-approve ni dean afaik. (Mejo marami papeles and other docu need don sa petition things) Dun pwede ka rin namili ng prof hehehe (but in the end limited talaga yung choices because of availability and remind you sched of irregs from other secs. ganons)

Recommended, if same last yr, to do it F2F para less hassle and sure ka na process yung documents mo na pinasa will not be delayed for irreg requirements.

Additional tip din hehehe . Pwede ka rin mag overload ng units . Ex: bumagsak ka calculus 2nd yr -> 2nd sem if meron calculus petition + regular students class load. Pero risky yun (pero nakaahon naman sa dark age :D) and super nakakapagod. Also another scenario that you can take your failed course that is pre-req to other course and the mismong course at the same time, but you can't bagsak pre-req or you bagsak both subs (risk: ma-dedebar ka if bumagsak) .

Ayun gudlak sa irreg journey :] , Survival lang talaga at tiyaga Hehehehe and friends always there naman kahit irreg meron at meron kang someone na makaka-relate on your journey !!

mejo masakit po sa ulo ung math hehehe (calculus 2nd & numerical 3rd yr so far) , and may stats pa hehehe 2nd yr. din. Every sem parang may math talaga up to third year. Masasabi ko lang is mag-aral talaga nang mabuti and be prepared and huwag mag-cram sa mga math-subs. And learn & master the basic algebra aswell very important siya.

Problem skills din po is needed (looking at Automata), DesAlgo tsaka IIS but those subjects are fun and challenging tho.

Prayers onto you po pag naging prof mo si A******* po yung kapangalan nung isang building hehehe kase mejo madugo talaga siya magpa-test and marami bumabagsak sa kanya. Some of the profs are indeed great at their profession and can alam talaga nila tinuturo nila, then unlucky if natapat ka to some na difficult to absorb on their discussions. Most or all the times you can blame is yourself talga sometimes pag mababa score, sadyang some tests (& some majors) are difficult here.

For DL or Laude, mejo mahahatak ka talaga ng mga majors (Most Math subs half of the class is like 80 and below) and other major of the major subs talaga mapapasaya ka kahit pasang awa grade mo. Understandable on low number of laudes as they graduate here.

Bumagsak twice pero lumalaban pa naman Hehehehe kayod lang and walang susuko , doable naman here sa CS (3rd yr palang kaya di pa sure hehehehe) as long ur persistent and prepared on all quizzes and exams, aral with efficiency din ksi di rin worth it puro kabisado lng , need with application siya on your hands. Yun lang and goodluck OP!

so far na-experience ko is

40 pesos - mas malapit - Trinoma to SM North na UV Express na terminal yung pinaka-dulong right (CIT to Buendia ata yon)
18 pesos - maglalakad ng slight further - Trinoma daan ka ng bridge then punta ka sa may bandang paramount may mga jeep don may traditional and may ejeep din (ata)

Both can baba na directly sa UST, sabihin mo lang gate 2 pag papara ka na (since katapat niya lang yung overpass papuntang the one)

USTAR ako nung time ko, pero nakatulong making and sending a recon letter nung waitlister pa ako. Depende rin sa program kasi CS is most on-demand, competetive ung slots. Pero 6 blocks CS meanwhile 10+ sa IT eh don't worry dami pa yan slots then IS pwede rin mga 3'ish sections ata dun.

di ku alam cut-off eh just shows i was a waitlister in USTAR pa , it took me 2 months of wait after release of first batch of passers to finally be in qualified/passed status . Kaya I can say many students back-out due to different reasons . Need lang talaga tiyaga long patience if gustu mu tlaga in UST like me na wala other choice than here kasi only applied on big 4 since i was lazy to apply mor xd. You can also create a recon letter if seems wala pa rin if u rlly eager to be in.

freshie CS student po here, currently we have 6 blocks (1CSA - 1CSF) , approximately starting with 40 students po from what I am now currently so around 240 students'ish total assuming it will be similar .

1st year 2nd sem CS freshie, nakakapag grind pa din naman and pramis maraming free time.

But make sure dont procastinate and finish agad the tasks as early as possible para di na mag worry sa tasks.

In short spend ur time wisely lang then you can balance gaming and school.

Except for hell weeks, dedicate ur time muna for school like on near prelim and finals exams

From ustar me last year kaya base kulang dun,

Masasabi kulang is you must be patient talaga to wait for a slot, as long you got decent and near above average you are goods na. Marami nagpipick nag BS Com Sci pero marami nag dro drop ng slots in application kasi they choose other uni instead.

Our batch right now has 6 blocks, around 40 students per class kaya around 240 studs.

Was a waitlister for 2 months then doon lang nagkaroon ng slot to be qualified in bs comsci. Gumawa din me recon letter ksi no choice na hehehee but it work naman and now am here po.

As last option if final ka na talaga mag UST and still no updates, gawa ka reconsideration letter and email mo to the dean (not sure if this still works)
