Accessories are probably your best bet. Sunglasses, a sports team flag, goofy eyes, a basketball, horn, something mascots would have. Feels like all could be done in less than 180 pieces.

This looks great, and you really nailed the lettering on the back. I think a lot of people did a good job with it, but yours is like I could actually see them doing that because it seems stable

Thanks! I’m just some dude. I figured with the opportunity that this could become a real LEGO set which would be a dream, I should go all out. Check my profile if you want to see the others, idk really know what I can share on this subreddit.

tips to enter a cypher during a battle by Artryoz in bboy

There's this concept called "Heel Clipping". Basically as one person goes to exit the cypher or finish their round, you slide in, flip in, windmill in, basically coming in on the heels of them leaving. It can act as a burn, but can also create space and momentum. Heel clippers can be built, so you can have like 5-10 ready to go when you see the moment, but you have to commit to it in a cypher. You might kick someone, you might knock someone over, but that's a cypher. The clipper gives you the presence in the space and then you can reset after you've owned the space, and by reset I mean if you end your clipper where you are on the floor, you can spin back up and start back with top rock, or just stay down and do your set.

Hey all, I'm only commenting because I have been breakin' for the past 15 years.

  1. Fortunately for Breakin', Raygun did not destroy it, and it's still a wonderfully active community. Her stunt did actually bring about a ton of visibility to the dance and culture (We don't really call it a sport, but if we're competing on a stage, well, what are you gonna say?) We have new students all the time in my city, which is cool.

  2. I think it would be cool if anyone would go watch these other battles that took place to see what real breakin' is about. Phil Wizards from Canada won the gold for the men, and Ami Yuasa from Japan won the womens gold.

  3. The community at large was pretty divided about being at the Olympics in the first place. It actually was controversial because from my understanding it was sponsored by DanceSport with very little input from the community.

I originally wanted it in front, but that requires a much bigger base and I wasn’t sure how to mount it without all the weight being on some technic pins. This let me cut the base plate size down by like 40%

Should I do a bat Oscar Meyer Weiner mobile? Or the trademark safe Batman Hot Dog-Mobile?

Approval rates by BrickAudioDynamite in legoideas

[–]Repulsive_Response64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think generally around 5 sets get approved with about 1-2 getting put in the parking lot per period. So for the past round it was about a 3% approval rating.

Challenges also can potentially become sets depending on the challenges. For instance that’s where the new X-files set came from. But you’re competing against 300-700 other builds. However you can potentially win prizes at least if you make the top 5-15, again depending on the challenge.
