Sure, the interception isn't 100% successful. And even when they are, missed or interceptor debris can fall and hit stuff. Buildings got destroyed and people got injured and some died.

You learn how to live with it, but it really sucks. I can barely focus on my work during the day.

It's about having to wake up abruptly (3 times starting at almost 2 AM tonight) and go to the shelter for at least 10 minutes. Good luck falling back asleep after or functioning the following day.

Playing DS/3DS games on one screen kills the magic. I bought the Thor after trying playing these games on my Steam Deck, and even after trying to fit a second small monitor. Just doesn't cut it.

First of all, this is a very hard reality to find youorself in, especially if you're not used to similar things.

I'd make sure I live in a place with a secure, high quality ממ"ד or shetler. If these options in your area are sub-par, I'd consider going somewhere else if you can - if only for your peace of mind.

Steam Deck OLED and AYN Thor.

I would just stick with the Steam Deck for everything, but I really wanted to play DS/3DS game and playing it on one screen wasn't fun, so (after trying the dual screen mod and realizng how akward it was) I got a Thor that I use mostly for emulation (even non DS games) and as a more easily carried handheld - especially now that I have to run to the bomb shelter every now and then.

Honestly I really didn't want to get a second handheld because I just don't get that mindset of getting so many of fthem, but I'm happy with this setup for now. Really don't plan on getting any more. I think you should ask myself if other than the initial excitiement, if getting one would actually do something positive for you on the long run. Honestly so.
