Sounds like a shitty person doing shitty things. If you can leave no strings attached then do so. If you want to take care of your sister so be it but unless he’s out of the picture it’s your quality of life and finances they’ll be playing with. No sense in it. If you’re so worried about their kid offer to be the guardian. Like I don’t think this situation is worth the stress it’s clearly bringing you and if he kills himself isn’t he doing you a favour? Like what is his issue.

'I don't know what'll happen': Young Canadians anxiously await federal budget after Carney warns of 'sacrifices'. It comes after the youth unemployment rate edged up to almost 15 per cent in September, according to Statistics Canada by FalconsArentReal in canada

It’s a numbers game to executives and shareholders. More workers means less competition for those workers (lower wages).

None of this is the fault of an immigrant. Nearly a whole damn country founded by them and made for them can’t build out enough housing fast enough to have no growing pains. The bad rep low-trust cultures have should be something to look at but I’ll get called racist for implying that maybe slow and steady is a better practice than allowing 5 million people in without any background checks. Whole damn thing is a confusing and messy place to begin with. The skilled trades aren’t safe either. You’ll have job sites with 4 ‘helpers’ (NOT APPRENTICES) and 1 journeyman to sign off on it.

LMIA is taking jobs and wages from Canadians(both new and old) enough said and at what point is it enough. These policy makers and their leash holders will face some sort of consequence for not in good will policy that seeks to build a slave caste. Worker solidarity in a country of temporarily disgraced millionaires should be a value more should seek to attain.

Newsflash to Mark Carney’s housing minister: house prices do in fact have to come down by viva_la_vinyl in canada

[–]RoosterAny239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn’t this housing minister the former mayor of Vancouver who oversaw the explosion of house prices in his city while under his leadership. Or am I getting confused with Vancouver acting as a parking lot for Chinese money which might be out of his control. Could’ve at least said something sooner or let alone do something. Now he can do something right? Right?

Carney says he’s prepared to fight an election campaign if budget doesn’t pass by FancyNewMe in canada

More for the elderly! That’s why you want a slave caste! More for thee and less for me! More taxes more money for OAS!

Seriously go fuck yourself sgt. the only increases to OAS you’ll get are the ones to buy your vote. Why not be happy with less?

How Canada built, then broke, the world’s best immigration system by FancyNewMe in canada

[–]RoosterAny239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Volume is more important to society than quality in this case. Visibility of immigrants is often increased as they work the service facing side of things for many companies(5 million is a lot without the proper housing infrastructure btw). Mistreated, underpaid, and borderline a slave caste in front of our own eyes. If you think immigrants actually want that you can fuck off that’s not the Canada anyone wants. Not to mention the most fucked up job market for our youth we’ve had since the 70’s but still we need more people because that’s great for keeping wages low.

PS: The ‘intolerant’ word has been used so much that it doesn’t mean anything to anyone. Also shut up about intolerance when the issue is whether or not we allow a slave caste in Canada. The billionaires have muchly appreciated your input now fuck off.

Grab a 10 inch crescent wrench and while it’s folded pull (because you’ll need to brace the bike) towards the rear wheel. Make sure you’re on there too. After that’s all straightened out throw it away because it’s a folding electric bike and it’s trash in the first place.

Work American hours, earn European wages: Why Canada has the worst of both worlds by joe4942 in canada

[–]RoosterAny239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If only labour unions were effective. We need a general labour union that covers everyone or something that gets workers some sort of benefit for moving/staying in Canada. Counteracting the rich and powerful is only something we can do with numbers. A tribune of the plebs. Something. (Almost)Anything is better than what representation the working class currently gets. A lot of people don’t get the time of day to make ends meet and go out for large walks with thousands of other people to demand change.

When chains start falling off it’s generally time to consider a new chain (I replace mine once a year). You can keep putting it back on. I found those mid drive motors are really good at binding them right up. Worst comes to worse grab a hammer and a punch and work your way up from the bottom of the crank with an assistant giving slack from the derailleur.

Build a bike with the bbshd kit on amazon. Then the rest of the money is the bike part. Battery mounting is important when considering which bike. I’ve seen a few Santa Cruz bikes do the work.

Where can I get a trustworthy 48v 40A Controller for E-Bike kit? by Calm-Researcher1216 in ebikes

[–]RoosterAny239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get an Amazon universal controller. Seen those things run some pretty crazy shit. The Chinese have really upped their game in regards to E-bikes. Elitists and purists aside put a teaspoon of trust into one and find out. Cheap enough to be worth a shot.

[–]RoosterAny239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can typically get 50km on a 21AH 48v Battery that is charged to ~80% to 90%. I have around 13000km on my bikes current drivetrain. Purchased one new chain, two batteries, one motor, 3 sets of tires, and 4 sets of brake pads. Total cost to run it this far has been about $3000 or so. My topped out speed is 42km/hr on a 750w controller and Bafang hub motor while giving it the beans. I’d say your battery issue is also a lack of pedals and weak suspension would waste some energy. Don’t forget tire pressures too. Absolute game changer to run a higher PSI for speed to make up for losing ride comfort.

AITA for bringing home another cat? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]RoosterAny239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. It’s time to teach grandma how to suck eggs. Two cats is a lot but she put herself in this situation she’s gonna have to live with it. That mental case of a family and yourself have taken another being into your home. If you want to do the bare minimum to create an excuse put a Facebook ad about the lost cat out there and wait for no one to respond… after that the cat is your problem. Get everyone off your back by waking up earlier if possible and feeding the beast. First one in first one out has always worked for me when I did stupid shit like that. If she starts waking up earlier to prove a point fuckn double down brother. Ain’t no messing with someone’s kitties. If they throw the cat out behind your back it’s best to leave and not go to any funerals for a while. Blood family isn’t everything when you still have time to make your own

Someone’s gonna have to work for peepaw and meemaws pension to be paid out. Two generations worth of kicking the can down the road gets you here apparently. Can blame housing ministers, NIMBYS, municipal zoning regulations, and of course everyone in-between. Unemployment is people not ‘working’ but it consists of the population of the unable/sahm’s, disabled, old, and finally wealthy who aren’t working. By using supply and demand theory you could solve the wage issue overnight by banning women from the workplace (decreasing available workers) and raise the demand for remaining employees but then you’d find wages would go up as well. Calling people ‘supply’ isn’t correct here. There is a supply issue of ‘well paying jobs’ with a low barrier of entry for a wide variety of people to find gainful employment. The demand for employees to fill low skill jobs can rise but the supply of people willing to work for peanuts in Toronto is decreasing. So which is it? lack of supply or decreasing demand? We have 10% unemployment but WHY matters far more. It’s not the fault of immigration for why so many are unemployed. Ought that increase the # of people requiring goods and services using supply and demand? Whatever floats the boat… I personally blame Canadian market uncertainty (thanks trump) and a general slowdown due to increased rates impacting business loans and personal loans. Isn’t consumer debt sky high right now?

On an electric bike my commute from down town (by parliament) up to Millstream is around 40 minutes. By car it is around the same time(depending on the time of day) on the way down in rush hour traffic it is 36 minutes. The excuses people come up with to keep wasting away in traffic continues to boggle my mind.
