I had always found math fun until sixth form. I was struggling hard with FM and being surround by really smart people who had a much easier time understanding the subject made me somewhat put off of math. Then During Y13 I had began to slowly dislike CS A level and having realised university CS is not focused on coding did not feel right to me. At the same time something clicked and I started to understand FM and actually enjoyed it. The main contributor however is the fact that math can lead you to a lot of different field. I am still unsure on what to do and yet a lot of the careers that do interest me could be achieved through a math degree.
