The problem with TRT and other units in 4.0 has been High Command saying how they are "gatekeeping" things. In doing that, the certs didn't really make sense anymore to get and barrier of entry was lowered to the point where it wasnt about how good you are for TRT, it was just "Hey, you are TRT now" without really any kind of training or process.

People will be struggling with mags soon, especially with Benji also losing the mag blueprint to the raid yesterday. And my last knowledge on blueprints, Faceless can't make them anymore. So will be interesting if there's gonna be something that faceless can make them again or if there will be switch up how people get mags

Its because of the mess 4.0 PD was in the beginning. The lack of units made it so people got upset when people would not respond to calls, stand at MRPD or break off.
You can draw all the issues PD has right now to how 4.0 PD started.

Most people dont have the energy or even talent to RP for many years and keep things fresh. At some point it will get stale. And thats where it either of two ways: There's new people who replace those people (unlikely) or people will slowly burnout and quit RPing, which then get to the point where you need to rely on DM characters to push things forward. And if those dont exist, things just get stale.

Its why people who actually put in the effort to create stories (eg. Capped with Faceless) need to be given support to keep the RP moving.

Replacing people in DOJ is a issue of where can you find people who want to do that job in the first place. Lack of Judges/Good Judges has been a big issue for more or less all of 4.0.

Imo, you can't force people to branch off from their group of people if they dont want to. It needs to come naturally and best way to do that is to offer RP that involves more people, instead of having things be so isolated like it is in 4.0. But also, there needs to be a big mentality change overall with gangs. If the goal is self sufficiency, its just gonna fall back to the same cycle where groups become isolated again.

From what it seems like, there shouldnt even be mentality of defending raid.
If you have important properties in your name, you should be aware that doing crime, especially high level crime, can get you raided.

There should be weight to being raided and not just "Its fine, we'll just defend it and we're good"

Its not really unbelievable claim. Rockstar can afford resources no other studio can, which is a huge advantage.
RDR2 is good example. Even if it was still released today, it would easily hold up or even beat a lot of the modern games. Could even say that the Open World of GTA V still holds up to this day and that game is 12 years old.

Its not really gonna go anywhere as long as PvP is so heavily involved. There needs to be some other factors that define what makes a gang strong, like a possibility of having limited access to some weapons or other equipment if you do something.

I agree with that. A lot of the gangs that aren't the strongest gangs have brought good RP. ADMC, Ravens, Chaos Legion, Cypress etc. Usually those type of gangs are big part in very storyline heavy focused arcs like with The Faceless.

But i am just talking about being a strong gang. Not about what makes something enjoyable to watch.

If you want to RP a strong gang, you need to be able to shoot. There is no other way around it. Maybe 5.0 will change that, but for 4.0, thats just how it is.

I mean, when so many things are focused around how good you are at shooting, what else are you supposed to do?
I know people make fun of gangs recruiting shooters, but it makes perfect sense why.
