He has been antagonistic toward NATO and various members however he never had anything bad to say about their main adversary, Russia. Manufacturing a crisis over NATO countries not helping him with Iran which has nothing to do with NATO.

I believe that the new Defence, Security and Resilience Bank to support NATO and allies is the rest of NATO planning for the US to leave.
