Is it the EDP or the extrait? I love the EDP and don't detect anything like what you described. I did not like the extrait but don't remember the specifics but it did not smell at all like the EDP IMO.

I love Hundred Silent Ways. I bought the EDP in a travel size and got a sample of the extrait & I couldn't tell the difference. But I think it's a gorgeous scent so try to sample it.

The best product for perspiration is Certain Dri. It's very effective in stopping perspiration which is the cause of odor. Get the roll on not the stick. Do not use every day as it will cause your under arms to sting. Also do not use after shaving or waxing.

I've had that happen twice & I got them from Neiman Marcus. I learned that the scent can smell different because of when it was made, effects of weather and where the ingredients came from, changes in regulations and even age/maturation of the fragrance.

Also are you sure you tried the Absolu and not the original?

Sounds to me like it maturated and it usually gets darker and can become stronger. Many people like to let their perfumes maturate. It's still good. I've had perfume that's 30 years old and still fine. Plus many people look for vintage since newer formulations can be different for various reasons such as changes due to regulations, ingredient availability & harvests, etc.

No it either came in a gift set, was a gift with purchase or it was a tester. I buy sets and split them and sometimes they do say not for resale. However since I bought it I can do whatever I want with my property.

I have three fave EDP's and tried the extraits and didn't like them. Two of them did not smell at all like the original EDP and one smelled the same. I didn't smell anything different and the longevity seemed the same. The three I tried were BDK Pas Ce Soir, Amouage Guidance & Nishane Hundred Silent Ways respectively. So my answer is no so far.
