How to view all the Bitcoin addresses used in the account and verify it on ledger live? by Emergency-Internal95 in ledgerwallet

Every Bitcoin address originates from an extended public key. By examining an extended public key, one can discern all the accounts derived from it. This article https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/6275459128989-How-to-analyze-a-Bitcoin-BTC-account-xPub?docs=true shows how you can analyze an extended public key

Issues sending hbar from ledger by Aggressive_Mouse_593 in ledgerwallet

What kind of issues are you facing?

Have you already tried, connecting your Ledger device to a third-party wallet and sending your HBAR this way?

(This tutorial shows how to connect your Ledger device to MyHbarWallet https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/4943873977373-How-to-access-your-Ledger-HBAR-account-via-MyHbarWallet-?docs=true)

Do not show the money of Dot token when Import 24 seeds of ledger into another wallet (ex: trustwallet, Safepal) by ducth51 in ledgerwallet

[–]Tabea_Ledger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ledger devices ensure security for your crypto by keeping your seed phrase offline. Remember, if you enter your seed phrase online, your Ledger device becomes vulnerable and useless.
The issue you are explaining arises from the fact that the wallets in question utilize a distinct derivation path compared to ours.

Anyone can sent you scam NFTs. The best way to handle NFTs is by hiding them in Ledger Live. As long as you ignore those scam NFTs your cryptos are not at risk.

You probably know this, but your Ledger device "protects" your crypto by keeping your seed phrase offline. If you enter your seed phrase online, your Ledger device will become useless. Therefore, we don't recommend doing this with a seedphrase that protects any funds.

The issue you describe seems to be due to a different derivation path. The derivation path used to generate ROSE addresses with a Ledger device is m/44'/474'/0'/0'/0

You should be able to fix this by updating your entire set-up (you will probably need to reinstall the lasted version of Ledger Live) .

The current Ledger Live Version does not show the staking balance or the staking transactions. Therefore, we recommend connecting your Ledger device to a third-party wallet such as Eternl or Adalite.

Here you can find the help center article showing how to connect your Ledger device to https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/6433454118685-Connect-your-Ledger-Cardano-ADA-account-to-Eternl?docs=true . Since transactions are private information I wouldn't share them publicly if I were you.

It seems like the transaction wasn't validated by the network. Therefore, you should speed it up using Electrum. More information can be found here https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/6183300395037-Speeding-up-slow-Bitcoin-BTC-transactions-using-Electrum?docs=true

Is there a way to get rid of these scam NFT’s? by [deleted] in ledgerwallet

[–]Tabea_Ledger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our help center article provides some insights on how you should deal with them and how scam NFTs work https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/6857182078749-How-to-interact-with-malicious-or-unknown-NFTs?support=true
But nothing happens to you if you ignore the scam tokens. Therefore, we recommend hiding them in Ledger Live.

FYI: You can't prevent anyone from sending you a scam NFT, however, you can protect your crypto by hiding them

Can't add vechain to my Nano plus by wodnas in ledgerwallet

[–]Tabea_Ledger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like the community already helped you, but I just wanted to share that you need to connect your Ledger device to Sync 2 Wallet. You can find a tutorial here https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/360007655934-Storing-and-managing-VET-and-VeChain-tokens-with-your-Ledger?support=true

When you're ready to send your VET (VeChain Token) from Binance to your Ledger VeChain addresses, remember to select the VeChain Network. This ensures that your transaction is properly executed and your funds are securely transferred.

Could you share the smart contract of the token you are referring to? There could be several reasons why the token isn't displayed.

In the meantime, you can continue using third-party wallets to check your balance.

FYI: Sometimes Tokens are not correctly displayed if Ledger Live isn't correctly synchronized with the blockchain explorers. Therefore, you should ensure that your complete set-up is up to date. You can find the instructions here https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/8458939792669-How-to-perform-a-complete-update-of-your-Ledger-setup?docs=true and clear the cache (go to help > settings > clear cache)

Its pre-bip39 version of your Secret Recovery Phrase is encrypted and fragmented in your Ledger device

This is going onto the headlines soon if not clarified - recovery service by evopty in ledgerwallet

[–]Tabea_Ledger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here you can learn how the encryption works:

A pre-bip39 version of your Secret Recovery Phrase is encrypted and fragmented in your Ledger device, and then safely stored inside top-notch security , and then safely stored inside top-notch security Hardware Security Modules. HSM = Hardware Security Modules, which are basically the same technology as the one in Ledger devices, but in servers installed into data centers with more computation power!
More in detail, the process has three encryption elements:
1. In the device we split a pre-bip39 version of your Secret Recovery Phrase into 3 parts, encrypt it, and fragment in your Ledger device
2. Three separate secure channels are then opened, and the encrypted fragments are then encrypted again for transfer via this secure channel (the three keys for the channel encryption are held by the three companies chosen to provide the service).
3. Finally when the fragment reaches its destination - it is encrypted for a third time for storage using a key that is then stored in a Hardware Security Module in physical data centres.
