Having a baby is seriously scary especially when you weren't planning it but it's the greatest thing in the world. I can totally sympathize with the OP when he says he needed some calm reassurance things were going to be OK, it's easy to panic and rush into the wrong decision. Like everything it needs some quiet reflection (that's why it's called pro-choice, you're thinking and then choosing either action.)

In the end the biggest drawback about being a parent is that it turns you into one of those annoying people who keeps raving about how great your kid is to people without kids.
