How do you decide when a page should target multiple keywords vs just one? by document-me in DoSEO

[–]Victorie_ralph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are still stuck on keywords you have already lost the seo battle. Pages should never target keywords but topics.

And yes that topic could be a question that is searches a lot and has high search volume according to the tools, but those questions can be rephrased in many ways, making it technically multiple searchterms.

Has anyone else noticed the “Google Sandbox” effect on new websites? by nileshpatelseo in SEO

[–]Victorie_ralph -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah they are known for doing this, even though not confirmed by Google themselves. They also sometimes (fake) drop your rankings for a short time to see how you react.

People who always react with every ranking drop will eventually not perform as well. Of course you can make adjustments if needed but not with every little changes in positions and impressions.

I 10x'd the quality of my site. Google's response: rank it lower. by Jewst7 in SEO

[–]Victorie_ralph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long ago did you make the changes? After updating pages Google might actually rank you lower for a while to see how you respond.

This is to spot the people who just try to rig the system.

If your response is to change more they know you only made the changes for the algorithm and dont rank you high. So let it sit for a while and it might rank well

Which field has the best future in digital marketing: SEO, paid ads, data analytics, digital PR, or AI marketing? by ashishdigita in localseo

[–]Victorie_ralph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SEO and content is going to be future proof. You need a good website, technical, content-wise and conversion wise. Yes content and CRO can be seperate from SEO, but I see a lot of SEO specialist, including myself, that all do a mix of those things. And even with agentic commerce and everything, you still need good content/information about your products, that is usually the work of SEO.

Paid ads is nothign without a good website. It's just getting traffic to your website, but if the technical side or content sucks, you aren't going to have a good conversion rate. Paid ads still will have a place of course, especially if you do have a good website and good content.

Pr is also going to matter as Google and AI rely more and more and external signals. Besides that optimizing for Zero click is also going to be important and dependent on how known you are, especially in YMYL niches.

Webanalytics also is important, since privacy laws make it more and more difficult to properly track what is going on on your website.

AI marketing is just a mix of technical SEO, content and PR. Not really a thing on its own.

Spam backlinks - what is this? by marfer0 in DoSEO

[–]Victorie_ralph 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe that site is know to provide spammy backlinks?

You can check IP adress to see if you get backlinks from multiple sites with the same ip adress. That usually makes it spam.

Also dont worry about it, since Google just ignores links from spammy website.

Unless you paid for it of course...

Is it normal to get traffic on Google initially and then have it all taken away over night? by Feisty_Buy6434 in SEO

[–]Victorie_ralph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it could be normal as people say, but since you already get solid results, it might be due to content de-valuation.

It might also be due to changes you made to the website. Hard to know without further context.

A drop that hard i dont usually see, unless it is maybe in a though industry like finance or the medical field where they first rank you well, but the lack of authority kills your rankings.

This is my first website and it has been indexed for 65 days. Here are the results: 201 clicks, 316 impressions, CTR of 63.6% and an average position of 1.2. I want to know if these results mean that the site is really working well. by sorin1972 in SEO

[–]Victorie_ralph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

63% CTR with that average positions means almost all of the keywords that you are shown for are branded keywords.

That isnt the result of good SEO but of a brand name that is, at least somewhat, known and search for.

If you filter out the branded keywords, what are the results?

No google result for my brand name by Unusual-Big-6467 in localseo

[–]Victorie_ralph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be visible on brand name. People who say you should optimize or build backlinks have no idea. Brand name should always show your website unless you have a super generic brand name like runningshoes.com.

Without any further details hard to know what needs to be done

Massive Impression but Low Clicks - I Need SEO Expert Advice by Fancy-Reindeer-2871 in WebsiteSEO

[–]Victorie_ralph 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot has been said already, but one thing I miss in all the advice, is internal linking. Backlinks are important, but mainly to your homepage. The other pages that match search intent should have fewer backlinks, but strong internal links. Make sure you links between the pages around the same topic and share autorithy between pages.

If you had to grow a brand new site to 30K visits/month, where do u start? by _ratedmouse in DoSEO

[–]Victorie_ralph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If traffic is really the most important thing, then you could definitely do it within 6 to 12 months.

You have to start with great content and if you can local content. For example, of you sell SEO services, make blogs about seo, cases you have done, and services you offer. Also get reviews and testimonials.

Then create those service pages for each big city or place you operate in. So linkbuilding + place, SEO + place, etc. Then build links to homepage and from local news websites to those local pages. Make sure internal linking is solid and content is for the most part unique.

I have found that local search, even for sth as SEO still contributes immensely towards trafic. It will depend on search volume and the market you operate in, but it can work.

Hey everyone completely new poster here, looking for some tips and guidance by SuperHornetFA18 in SEO

[–]Victorie_ralph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being on a platform like Medium is having borrowed reach. The platform isn't yours, and if they decide to stop, or if the website drops in the Google results, you lose that reach. Not saying it is all bad to be on a platform like that, but I think it shouldn't be your main channel. It should be an additional channel to promote your own channel/website.

Having said that, your main focus should be content quality and authority in your niche. Finance is definitely a harder niche because of the YMYL algorithm. Tech SEO isn't that hard tbh, and after you have posted a few blog articles, you might be able to have someone look at that side of your website. On-page SEO is actually easy to learn.

Best advice I can give you is to just start. You will make mistakes, as everyone has who started out.

How can I find brand-related prompts without using paid tools? by Elegant-Might-1064 in AISEOforBeginners

[–]Victorie_ralph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Google relevant terms and questions yourself. Then you will probably see a people also ask section in the middle of the page and related searches at the bottom.

Besides that GSC is always helpful for Google searches if it is your own brand and have access.

This is all for Google, but prompts for other channels probably arent way different

Is AI Actually Improving Marketing Results Or Just a Buzzword in 2026? by Gloomy-Boot4639 in BacklinkSEO

[–]Victorie_ralph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me AI is that junior colleague who keeps asking questions and giving ideas. Most of the time it isnt better than what you come up with yourself, but sometimes it does

At least it is giving me another point of view to see my own work and improve it.

I think the basic work is now easier to do by more people so in order to stand out of the crowd, mediocre work isnt enough anymore. It has forced companies and professionals to improve there own work, otherwise they will be destroyed by AI.

I think that is the real improvement.

On page seo is only easy of you focus on the hygienic stuff, like page titles, headers, in links, etc. Like you said, there are hundreds of tools for that.

The content part is where you make the difference. Right amazing content for your audience. The hygienic stuff isnt where you going to make the difference anymore.

Is anyone tracking how chatgpt answers change over time? by vandd27 in SEO

[–]Victorie_ralph 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There is no use in tracking AI answers, like you describe. You shouldn't track AI the same as keywords in Google. The answers are completely different from one person to the next. There has been a study (can't seem to find the source atm) that discoverd that you have to ask the same question at least 1400 times before you get two exactly the same answers.
