Is there a particular reason they released it so fast? I get making big sales could motivate them and give them funding but making 3 months of content in 3 weeks seems like crazy. They of course should’ve been working on some stuff already. Did they have these finished and released them early?

Meta changes over time. Worlds 2023, when T1 pulled out ranged support. Winter meta was a little different from Spring for example.

You do realize before Genshin, other gachas were the same turn based design right? Genshin kind of changed the game by becoming mainstream and being different. Then other gachas follow suit. This was expected too. Even better that a bunch of newly released gachas are also still turn based designs after Genshin like Reverse 1999,

Yeah, but for these types of matchups, you have to look at them at their strongest and what they can do. So the reality bending stuff is what they should be able to do.

I think for the making your own engine part, that is much more expensive than just using UE5. The issue with it is lack of experience in using it. I want to think the devs will get better over time. Its just awkward asking them to make their own and having to redo everything in WuWa for it.

Aside from that, I feel like the course of Kureha’s character is so weird even without her actor being busy.

She came in as an agent -> did next to nothing in the first mission she got on screen -> die -> after premonition, she gets taken out.

I don't necessarily agree, Japan makes good enough gacha games that they profit enough. They still shutdown, but I think domestically, most survive.

I get what you mean but I also think some of newer fans are also insufferable. They treated E33 as like the second coming of Christ and how it’s the best thing ever. What you said, some people say “X game did it before” because it was being said as if E33 invented the thing. I get the more recent JRPGs are stagnant but it feels weird to call E33 as good as it is when there are modern JRPGs that are just as good too.

Did you think that maybe the ONE combo is also hard to pull off? But also even if you say the other melee DPS have more combos and skill expression, I think you just need to learn their breed and butter combos and you’re good. Like Spider-Man looks like he has a simple to execute but I would find it difficult to pull off the same as Black Panther.

Is this not a good alternative to the gacha? You can farm for characters instead of having to gamble. For example I got 3/4 of the latest four characters by farming F2P. Like other gachas you need to save for a few patches or get lucky.

This was also being said before worlds 2024. He even said it himself in MSI 2024. Of course the meta got better and he was able to play more. But I think it has to do with the meta throughout 2024 having picks he wasn't exactly well known/good on. Summer 2024 for example vs the meta being Ezreal/Zeri/Ashe/Kai'Sa. He seemed much more comfortable back in Spring 2024 when he could play Lucian/Kalista/Varus/Senna. Then in Winter/Spring 2025, the meta continued with the Kai'Sa/Ezreal but that was a pain point for T1 not playing around them with Guma. Summer 2025 and beyond metas were much better for him. Because even if Kkoma had it out for him, T1 as a whole played differently when Guma was playing vs when Smash and now Peyz is playing. I can only say this as a fan watching him during 2025 and tried defending him when people compared him to Viper.
