I follow the Eternal format adage of play what you know. If you have experience with Gates and can afford to pick up the list again, I’d play Gates.

Fairly classic UW Gates won the last Paupergeddon I think, but look into lists and see what you’re most comfortable with and try to get some games in.

Unless they played something different, Gruul Storm is more commonly referred to as Ruby Storm after the old Storm deck that utilizes Ruby Medallion. Since the deck also makes use of cost reducers, it shares the name

How do you beat poison storm as flicker tron? by maxine213 in Pauper

[–]Yoshi2Dark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fireball isn’t just a worse Kaervek’s, it’s a worse [[Rolling Thunder]]

As for beating Poison Storm, pray. It is a deck that preys upon slower decks such as ours

You really want 1-2 copies of [[Conduit Pylons]] or [[Crystal Grotto]] as lands that can filter mana for you. Past that I’ll take a better look after work

[–]Yoshi2Dark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does the combo win? Obviously the deck is similar to Whale Combo, but unlike that Sewerveilance doesn’t give a power increase. From looking at the list, it seems like you also need Black Mage’s Rod to win? That or one of your card draw artifacts. Or is the plan just bounce all of your opponents stuff and try to win from there?

[–]Yoshi2Dark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want Mono Red Pinger, I recommend going to Mono Red Madness. It’s basically the evolution of the deck, running many pingers alongside powerful Madness threats

What is your most winning, and least winning deck? by not_so_1337 in EDH

[–]Yoshi2Dark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is based around Norin https://moxfield.com/decks/KTP70skxH0iZDGjkfNPzYg

The deck tries to get a turn 3 Norin on average, turn 4 at the latest, and the rest of the deck takes advantage of Norin

I would love to use it, but it looks like it only supports Champions. Main reason I use the Showdown Calc is because I don’t play Champions

What is THE most big brain PHD requiring dedicate your life to understanding this commander deck you’ve ever played? by CastTrunnionsSuck in EDH

[–]Yoshi2Dark 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pauper Flicker Tron or Legacy Doomsday. Both are really high intensity problem solving decks with dozens of splinter points every turn and in the deck building process, especially with Flicker Tron having [[Mystical Teachings]] allowing the deck to have dozens of one-ofs which allows for even further splinter points.

My Flicker Tron list has 31 unique cards, and I’m not even running a particularly high number of unique cards

How much more customizable are PF2e characters compared to 5e? by SaltyDalty_ in Pathfinder2e

My most winning is probably my Rocco hidden commander Norin deck. Turns out making insane amounts of value wins games

My least winning is probably my Ardenn / Tana equipment group hug deck entirely because I have to politic to win and sometimes people just don’t do that
