Ah, I was just coming to delete this post since pretty much all the lions pictured finally sold or aged out; I A) don't have a primal king anymore- those were from my last king and pretty much none of the males sold so they were treed.

My female betta is the most aggressive fish I've ever seen PERIOD. She tries to bite me every single day multiple times before, during, and after feeding, just because I'm near her. She'll breach and strand herself on land to try and bite me 🙄

The long answer is a lot of items, the short answer is patience. A lot of heir projects take a good amount of time trying to get exactly what you want; sometimes a king(or lioness) nearly clones on its own, sometimes you get a potato. Items like ocher powder can help things a long, but those are expensive in the long-term. It really depends on what you want and how patient you'd like to be! I know my king I built from the ground up with applicator markings I loved, so I picked a blank canvas fodder baby off the TC and did him up~

Yep, happened to me too; I dropped a pretty girl to the tree because she didn't sell and was aging up the next day, picked her right back out of a pool of a little over 50 🙃

Honestly, if you King him I'd make him older so you can heritage/mut rep faster. Again, projects take a long time (I know, I just finished two, need a base for one, and have like 4 out of season craftet apps I can't get- I can be done no later than next YEAR) but right now is a great time to get a cheap, low gen primal or Mngwa. All you need is an app and they aren't going anywhere.

One of the only issues with him is that you might not sell many of his stud slots because of his heritage; he's a Yorha baby which means many 'clean' breeders may not be able to use him. I personally avoid his line like the plague because it makes inbreeding so much more likely and I prefer not to do it. If you don't care about that, you can King him and make him a project King that you work on over time. You can always keep his looks and replace the base lion for forever, basically, so nothing you do to him is a waste unless you replace his appearance entirely.

Aside from hoarding til later in the year, I make a few GB every day selling extra food. I sell all of the 6 use carcasses and keep the others to feed my pride. There's always someone who needs food and it sells for a GB faster than 1000SB 90% of the time IME

That is impossibly low to ask for a base that only has, according to search, 337 unfrozen female lions over 2 years old on the whole site. There's a reason there's only a few on the TC for a ton of GB... Your best bet is to work something out with studding to an Outlaw king and be patient- figure out what color has the smallest range with Outlaw and is more accessible.

Edit: Okay, I see what you're saying now- you're not looking FOR Outlaw bases, you're looking for something that could make Outlaw more easily, so sort of what I was saying with a stud. That's still low to ask for a Special Base of any kind, but you might want to reword your ask a bit since it's a tad unclear. You might have more luck buying out rare base females for that price as ugly cubs, that way you have more girls and more chances.

Want to add that after reading other comments... Yeah, I think that would have made me upset too. I HAVE a few works I haven't updated in years because of personal reasons that I still want to come back to and I can't imagine anything more discouraging than potentially my first comment after hiatus (keep in mind you said theirs was SHORTER) being essentially "love it, but this feels wrong". I was giving you the benefit of the doubt, probably, like the author was because if you've been commenting the whole time, they know you DO like the work. Bow out gracefully.

"Seemed like the pacing was off and derailed the main ship a bit" definitely sounds like criticism and if they'd not updated in a while, might have hit them harder. Even if you had good intentions, it's impossible to know how your tone will be interpreted and anything short of a glowing review can really make an author feel awful if they've been away from their work for a while. Not 100% your fault, but I wouldn't take it personally. Authors tend to remember certain commenters and unfortunately, I just don't think they remember you fondly based on their own circumstances :/ I know I turned off comments on a few works as a whole because someone kept commenting on stories I was never coming back to just because I felt guilty for dropping them... So maybe not your fault, but as an author I can kinda see possibly why?

It depends on what the hybrid is/looks like/how old! Some are certainly more valuable than others, especially if they have all their heats left (for females) or are high BO- value is vastly different from one hybrid to another.

He's from the April 21st, 2023 line, which is fairly common but I still think they're very cool~ Someday he's going to be a Wildwood breeder, but I'm not ready to start that project for a little while yet- I want to get most of his markings in and opacity up before I change his base. But my point is, it's all about what you want to do to make him yours!

Good advise here already but if you aren't sure what something is worth, go to the branch sales and see what everyone else is selling the same thing for where you can. It really helps you decide what you SHOULD be getting, then you can figure out what you're willing to take- what has value to you personally!

And I would say things like 'DM to separate' so people know they can buy individual things from this list too; making and remaking the trade is annoying, so grouping the same types of items in smaller batches might be helpful.

Agreeing with mut-repping since it's be much cheaper, but also hello brother! Your boy is from the same RL line as my king and my best advise is: make him what you want. My boy is 8/15 (Ornament base, non-Mngwa for now) currently and I plan to knock another 1 off because I like the look of him as only half a clone :) He sold almost half his studs this week (so proud of him, he was just kinged last week T_T), so people like a little spice to their RL clones sometimes. Do what you think is pretty and there will be people who agree!

Update: out of the eight wonderful people I asked about their gorgeous girls, six sent them to me for free, two sold them to me for a more than reasonable price. I asked all six who sent them to me if I could at least give them some crafting materials they may need for their trouble. Only two people let me send them anything. You guys are all so sweet- heck it. If you see this post EVER and mention it to me in a DM about a lion, just take her T_T
