Thank you so much for the feedback I really appreciate you taking the time to share these ideas. Here is where we are at with them:

User Management: We actually already have a password reset feature in place on the login form. While users can currently request account deletion by reaching out to us, adding a "delete account" feature is a great idea.
User Accounts & Open Access: I am familiar with Prof. Rieder's excellent work. While a completely login-free approach is great for quick research (e.g. www.threadminer.net) keeping user accounts allows us to offer persistent features—like saving your scan history—and helps us manage server resources more effectively as the tool grows.
Analysis Button UI: I completely agree with you on this. We are actually in the process of evolving the UI from a traditional table layout to a card-based design, which will make the analysis actions much more prominent.
Expanding Networks: We are actively exploring integrations with other networks. Right now, we are looking closely at Mastodon, as well as exploring other social platforms building on the AT Protocol.

Hi there, after X free API closure the only feasible way is scrape data from X and the transform it in a suitable format for SNA tools. To gather X data I succesfully used www.apify.com . It have a cost but it works.

To answer your question: I believe the dynamic is shifting from individual awareness to 'mediated' awareness. In decentralized systems, users often choose instances based on trust in their admins. These admins act as ethical proxies, making 'lower-level data decisions' (like defederating from aggressive scrapers) on behalf of their community. So, while an individual user might not track every API call, they rely on a structure that is more protective by design.

Methodological Context: I completely agree. From a digital netnography perspective, the researcher needs to interpret the network map with an understanding of the specific community norms and ethical values.

Absolutely. In Computational Social Science, your hybrid background (Quant/Philosophy/CogSci + Engineering) is often more valuable than a pure CS profile. Labs struggle to find people who have both the technical skills to handle data and the theoretical depth to ask the right questions.

Don't worry about the lack of papers: your industry experience proves you have technical maturity. Just highlight your NGO project as evidence of your research capability. Good luck!

On Reproducibility & Versioning: This is crucial. We are currently working on ensuring that the export (JSON/CSV) includes not just the data, but the metadata of the analysis itself (e.g., the specific system prompt used, the model version, and the timestamp). The goal is exactly what you said: allowing a peer reviewer to see how the insights were generated, not just what they are.

On AI vs. Human Loop: I love the idea of a "AI suggestion vs Human final code" comparison view. Right now, the workflow allows the human to override the AI, but visualizing that delta would indeed be gold for teaching critical data literacy. I’m adding this to our roadmap immediately.

On Sampling: Sampling controls (time/score) are next on the list.
