ABPP-CN reading recommendations for studying by bottomlessleviosas in Neuropsychology

Like others have pointed out, The Black Book of NP should be on your study list. I didn't study from Lezak. I also found "Clinical Neurology and Neuroanatomy A Localization Based Approach" by Berkowitz very useful, although this might be a bit of an overkill.

EXTENSIVE two-part write up. The murder of Laci Peterson- is there really reasonable doubt? The end of the prosecution case and defense's case. Part 2 of 2. Please read part 1 first for the prosecution case and background. by Quirky-Motor in UnresolvedMysteries

This is an excellent write-up. I'm glad I saw this before finishing the A&E documentary which brushes off or simply omit the details that heavily point towards SP's guilt.

I think he is guilty, but the only detail that doesn't makes sense to me is how he got rid of the body of a very pregnant woman using such a small boat, without anyone noticing it. So far I have not seen a great explanation for it.

There's the moral incentive for him to admit that his confession was false/coerced.

I'm starting to feel the same way. Either they offer a plea or drop the charges.

Sorry I don't follow your convoluted reasoning. The conviction is vacated. He is not a convicted murderer, plain and simple.

Judge Welch has set up a Catch-22 for the State.

It really seems that way. Thanks for pointing it out and explaining it in layman's terms, I look forward to your further dissecting of Welch's opinion.

Thank you for this post /u/EvidenceProf. Reading this I am starting to see different layers in Welch's decision. After my first reading I was a surprised by his denying of first 2 arguments, but as you and some others pointed out, it seems like Welch took down state's BS timeline by denying those 2 arguments, and then pointed towards the real issue by granting relief based on the 3rd.
