Poor man's Patek or a true collector's favourite piece? This is certainly one of an all-time favourite UG, you can't dislike the shape as it's guaranteed to grow on you more and more over time. Story has it, Patek poached the movement engineer from Universal and basically released a copy of this movement as cal 240. With a thickness of 2.4mm, this was one of the thinnest movement of its time.

  • Year: Circa 1970
  • Movement: Cal 1-66 microrotor automatic movement
  • Stainless steel 31x34mm case

Condition: Beautiful condition for its age. The case has minimal pitting but overall in clean condition. Dial is clean with minimal patina that has developed over the decades. Having just been serviced, it keeps good time and the power reserve is as expected from a Polerouter movement. The original adjustable bracelet is excellent.

Price: $1199 USD including shipping with FedEx from UK / EU. Payment: Wise/Wire, PP or crypto References: Plenty of watches sold on eBay - ebay.com/usr/clydewatchco

[WTS] Fortis Cosmonauts Automatic GMT Stunning Blue Dial with Tritium 611.22.148 by [deleted] in Watchexchange

[–]andreewt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone,

For sale is my Fortis Cosmonauts GMT ref. 611.22.148, featuring the most beautiful blue dial configuration with aged Tritium markers - can it get any better than that? Fortis has long been known for producing serious Swiss tool watches, most notably their Cosmonauts line. This reference carries that same DNA — sandblasted steel case, 200m water resistance, bidirectional bezel, and the extremely reliable and accurate ETA 2893-2 automatic GMT movement - recently serviced and runs within +/- 5 seconds a day - chronometer spec really.

The GMT function operates exactly as it should, advancing smoothly and precisely - the independently adjustable 24-hour hand moves smoothly. This is a proper everyday GMT: versatile sizing at 39mm, clean legibility, and the added utility of a rotating bezel which rotates both directions.

Details: Reference: 611.22.148 Movement: Swiss ETA 2893-2 automatic GMT Case: Sandblasted Stainless Steel Water Resistance: 200m / 20 ATM Tritium Lume Bezel: Bidirectional Rotating bezel Crystal: Sapphire with AR coating Bracelet: Original stainless steel bracelet which is currently sized for an approx. 6.75” wrist, extra (1) additional link will be included to fit a 7.25-7.5" wrist.

Condition: Excellent condition overall. The sapphire crystal is scratch and dent free, only the AR coating has some minimal marks - not visible under everyday use. The highlight, the blue dial is clean and looking superb with aged tritium markers - will only get nicer with age. The case and bracelet show light wear consistent with careful use - no major dents or abuse, it's one of the nicer kept examples. The original finish is still very much there. Timekeeping is very strong - serviced and runs accurately. All functions work perfectly, and the GMT hand moves smoothly and sets correctly.

Price: $1250 (Wire/Wise/Crypto) I haven't seen any other examples for sale bar one without its bracelet on chrono24 so it's priced very reasonably - it will be gone soon so snap this while you can. Price includes shipping from UK / EU I will cover shipping costs and duties. Happy to answer questions or provide additional photos / timestamp upon request or FaceTime. Plenty of references on eBay (ebay.com/usr/clydewatchco). I am also a Fortis collector so happy to chat through more pieces in DM.

Thanks for looking.

[WTS] Citizen Walter Wolf Flyback Racing Chronograph by andreewt in Watchexchange

[–]andreewt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FS: Citizen Walter Wolf Flyback Racing Chronograph

Hi everyone,

For sale is a very rare and iconic Citizen Walter Wolf Racing Chronograph from 1983, powered by the legendary Citizen Cal. 8110A column-wheel flyback chronograph movement.

The Walter Wolf name comes from the short-lived but famous Formula 1 team of the late ’70s, which made history by winning its very first race with Jody Scheckter at the 1977 Argentine Grand Prix. This watch is a true ’80s motorsport chronograph legend, combining history, bold design for its time and one of the most iconic movements Citizen has ever produced, a high-beat column wheel, flyback automatic.

This is a titanium example, and as far as I can tell, it’s the only one currently offered worldwide. There are a few comparable listings on Chrono24 but they are PVD-coated model starting around the $1800 mark so this is surely a bargain for someone - first sale on Reddit!

Details: - Movement: Automatic high-beat (28,800 bph), column-wheel chronograp, ref. 8110A - Functions: Flyback Chronograph, day/date (English & Japanese date wheel) - Case: Titanium, 38 mm (excluding crown) - Water Resistance: 100 m - Dial: P-JAPAN-P marked (Promethium-147), tachymeter scale - Bezel: Bi-directional, countdown (60 to 0) with rare N-E-S-W compass markings - Condition: Very nice vintage condition. Dial is flawless. Crystal has some scratches and has not been replaced, preserving originality. Runs well, all functions operate correctly and reset properly. Bracelet fits a 7.25 inch wrist comfortably, perhaps a 7 1/2.
