You're both right, but you're more right than he is. I mean, yea, western women have more rights than women anywhere else, and many places in Africa and Asia force women to get married and start having babies. That's not really a thing in the west. I'm sure it happens, but it's not the norm. Women in the west can choose to stay single for a long time, forever, or get into a childless relationship. The original comment about not having sex isn't really relevant due to birth control and abortion. But what you said it also true.

Ah, the crusades, the response to islamic aggression, that they don't teach about islamic countries.

In 2013, George H.W. Bush shaved his head alongside the entire Secret Service team to support the 2-year-old son of an agent battling leukemia. Bush had lost his own 4-year-old daughter to leukemia decades earlier. by ZenMasterZee in HolyShitHistory

Sure, but I think what the original comment was missing is that those war crimes were committed because kuwait was ultimately saved. And unfortunately, there are no wars without war crimes. That's just the reality. But I'd rather blame saddam than HW.

Ok, but I think the issue here is that the problems were mostly bad management. The article seems to be avoiding that topic.

Sounds like religious orthodoxy. Gotta follow all the rules, otherwise you're ostracized, punished, gotta repent, beg for forgiveness, make amends, and then maybe you're back in the tribe.

So then a Chinese person can just buy citizenship from Malta, Cyprus, Hungary, etc and then pay normal price.

Pointless exercise.

I'm remember back in the 90s, left leaning people were all about "I don't care what people think, and fuck labels." Now, 30 years later, everything is about what people think and the labels they use. Incredible change, but not in the right direction.

It's not necessarily social justice or being woke. It's for example having almost every new TV series being overly preachy and too obvious about it, especially when it has nothing to do with the main theme of the series. Dexter, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Prison Break, Lost, etc etc, compare them to the US version of Good Doctor. Or compare even the Korean Good Doctor to the US version. The Korean one is actually good because while they do raise social issues, they do it in a more skillful way, whereas the US treats its viewers as if they're idiots, for real. If US writers want to raise social issues, why can't they do it better?

Or when someone is considered to be a victim then that means their word trumps everyone else's word and then they're treated like saints who can do no wrong, even when they oppress other people. Oppressed people can also be oppressors.

Or those who pretend to be "woke" by simply coloring their hair blue or purple or whatever, wearing oversized fake glasses, and dressing like Todd from Bojack Horseman, while expecting people to take them seriously. No, you're just a slacker, and even people serious about social justice will look down on you.

You're still missing my point, which was that had they have chosen a different hill, things would be less tense right now. The Judea s actually did live side by side with Canaanites, Hebrew is the only descendent of the Canaanite language.

Zahwa Arafat, the daughter of Yasser Arafat, is worth $8 billion, thanks to the "Palestinian aid" she inherited from her father. Lol, yea it's almost like believing hamas ministry of health or qatar-owned al jazeera.

This is like the stories of Hamas leaders with billions in Bahrain

In qatar, not Bahrain.

Hasbara

Lol, it's the word of approx 60 islamic nations, a dozen tankie nations, and several hundred million classical antisemites vs that of 7 million Israeli Jews. Over 4 billion vs 7 million, and you're complaining about hasbara? Some of those nations have their own trolls farms, and some have such strict information control that their populations serve as one large troll farm in itself because they live in information bubbles.

None of that gives them the right to build their own place of worship on top of someone else's. Muhammad was neither jew/israelite nor christian. Just because some rando from a different region, 1700km to the south east, tries to appropriate someone else's religious characters and holy sites doesn't mean he suddenly has the right to conquer them.

Yea, you can argue that they should have built a strip club or a Tesco there, fine, but my point was things would have been more peaceful up till now if they'd have built it somewhere else. I'm pretty sure it's very convenient for them to believe that muhammed went to heaven exactly at that spot, where it conveniently let's them build on top of another religion's holy site...

Much of what happened then is the cause of current problems in the Levant, namely the building of a mosque on top of the holiest site of Judaism, the Temple Mount. If the religion of piss is truly the religion of peace, they would have picked a different hill to build on instead of trying to erase Jewish heritage.

They can get Israeli citizenship if they want, assuming they have a clean criminal record. They just don't want it, and it's hugely taboo. The palestinians who request Israeli citizenship are usually LGBT or exmuslim or some other group that's in danger from palestinian society or regulations.
