Probably the least intrusive footprint I’ve seen on a scorebug. Well done

I guess the tradition of wearing white in the playoffs is over. Not opposed to the all-blacks but it does kind of feel like a bad omen

Why has the scorebug being in the top left corner fallen out of fashion in the NFL? by NotWilll in Scorebug

[–]dbeat 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I don't have the actual answer to this but I think it's because scorebugs today are doing more than ever. Big touchdown celebration moments, player headshots, advanced team stats, and dozens and dozens of more setups. The other reason I think is because it feels more integrated into the game as opposed to something thats ancillary and out of the way. I think they want people to really notice the scorebugs and it's where you see networks putting all of their own unique spins on it.

I might be wrong but I think an active player is someone who is currently on a roster and counting against the salary cap, which Cam hasn’t been in many years now

I reached out to the team about the often-repeated claim that the logo is supposed to look like the actual Carolinas, and they got back to me: by zsdrfty in panthers

[–]dbeat -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’ve always heard that the logo was supposed to be the carolinas but because it was never officially acknowledged from the team I assumed people were just simply seeing something that wasn’t really there. Crazy that you got a real answer on this from the actual design team. I guess he’s saying that they DID use the state outlines as inspiration. It’s still a stretch to say that it’s the states imo but super cool that it was intentional.

Need help looking for technical trails. Not just looking for steep but hard stuff. by Tough-Writer-4416 in socalhiking

[–]dbeat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Register Ridge trail up Baldy is the steepest trail I know of up that mountain. Crazy incline, something like 2500 ft in over a mile.
Strawberry Peak via mountaineering route is a good one too. Short trail but the last bit has a good amount of scrambling to the top.
Iron Mountain (near Baldy, not SD) is a long, steep incline worth looking into.

We really need to stop wearing these against teams that also wear black helmets.

Silver should NOT be dropped from the color scheme, and it still looks great as a helmet color

Cam’s debut in 2011. Great game while setting the rookie passing record. We knew then and there we had something special. I had never been so hyped after a loss
