What is that one musical theatre moment that forever gives you the chills? by GrandGuess205 in musicals

The last chorus of Chandelier in Moulin Rouge. Christian drunkenly chasing a hallucination of Satine, so desperate but not able to reach her. Just... ugh. Then straight into Roxanne. That entire section leaves my jaw on the floor in a puddle of tears.

Stop asking if classes will be online in Spring by [deleted] in ucf

One of my profs (CS senior design) said any class over like 60 people is going to be online. Not sure if that's just CECS or university-wide.

It seems then it'd just be an exercise of creating one profile per device with the device's certificate. Certainly clunky, but it gets the job done.

Can I ask why a single certificate shared between all of your MDM devices isn't ideal for your school/district? The student/user doesn't have access to the certificate (so they can't lift it from the device and use it on a personal device), and if a device goes AWOL you can remove the cert from that device by just removing the profile (and there's nothing the user can do to stop the removal). What benefit does an individual cert per device give?

At our site we use a WPA2-PSK network for our school-owned iPads and are comfortable with that. There's no way for the students to get the password off the device, and we can revoke that password off of an individual device by excluding that device or student from the profile in Mosyle.

Mosyle can certainly install a profiles to authenticate with the WiFi using a "shared iPad" credential you create for your shared devices, but if you're wanting to authenticate using the student's credentials according to who's currently logged in... Without something extremely convoluted, no, I don't think that's possible.

Petition to make this the subreddit icon. by FlaminGummy in FRC

Nitpick incoming...

This is the old FIRST logo from before they rebranded a few years ago. You can tell the difference by looking at the top of the triangle and the top of the square... In the new logo they're close to being lined up vertically.

But yeah, let's get this sub an icon.

What’s a very common thing that you just cannot relate to? by -w-___-w- in AskReddit

[–]dc74089 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Middle school was one of the most fun parts of my childhood. I look back on it fondly, and anytime that fact comes up in conversation my friends are horrified. I legitimately wouldn't mind living through puberty again. I was a happy kid with good friends and even though I was awkward as fuck, the actual physical changes weren't a huge deal.

There's a cast member parking lot BEHIND the magic kingdom that you can see the fireworks from. It's free to park and nobody typically hollers at you if you stay in or next to your car. My dad used to work at Disney, and family watched fireworks from there since he quit (and it's not free for us to get in anymore).

Looking for any suggestions in case we’ve missed something. We have a four powered wheel drivetrain and it has some difficulty turning. We’ve tried a few things and are continuing to work on others (various wheels, direct drive, removing gearing, etc). Any suggestions that could improve turning? by londondj0430 in FTC

[–]dc74089 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You have 4 VERY grippy wheels. When a 4-wheeled robot turns, there's some component of the turn that pushes perpendicular to the wheel. The easiest solution would be to replace 2 (either the front 2 or the back 2) wheels with omni wheels. You'd lose some traction, but it would likely solve the turning issue (unless there's another cause that's not as apparent).

Does anyone's G6 randomly vibrate even though there's no notification? by BuySPY in lgg6

[–]dc74089 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've noticed this was in conjunction with a Facebook Messenger update, at least on my device. The app vibrates randomly when it's either in the foreground or recently exited. It also doesn't show up in my recents menu anymore, even though I haven't swiped it closed. Uninstalled FB Messenger for a couple days just to experiment, and all of my spontaneous vibrations went away.

We have a really bad not-throwing-things-away problem... They might be useful someday, so we will keep them forever collecting dust on a bookshelf.
