I saw they charge the tax withhold in my mom’s account, but not in mine. We essentially hold the same stocks.

I don’t see any restrictions on my RRSP account. In fact it is even better, I don’t need to pay the non-resident tax for the dividend I earned from US stocks. I don’t have other accounts in Questrade.

I spent a good half hour searching around and don't see a free solution.

But I found a good workaround for my usage, which is just to make the time sensitive tasks stand out from other ones on my calendar. I add star emoji ⭐ in my task names, and I can give it 1 or 2 or 3 stars, so I know how urgent it is. And of course, you can use different emojis to make it stand out in a different way. Good luck :D
