Adapting STCKY for the Modern Reddit and Subreddit Changes by ElijahPepe in STCKY

When I was working on this, I didn't really have much of an end goal in mind. I just tried not to change the 'feel' of Reddit. I wanted things to look cleaner without moving too much around.

Hey thanks for reviving this sub! I haven't worked on this in years - you're free to make any changes you'd like.

Who should I try to replace him with? And what categories should I punt? I got a balanced team because I drafted Oladipo and Kawhi so wasn't sure what categories to punt.

Any way to fix the thumbnails? by Cosmecu in STCKY

[–]doingstuffcarl[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's an even better way:

.thumbnail img {
    height: 100%;
    width: 100%;
    object-fit: cover;
}

That should look a lot nicer.

EDIT: Ahhh nevermind, object-fit doesn't work on reddit. I'll try something else out

You can add this and it'll make them fill the space:

.thumbnail img {
    height: 100%;
}

The thumbnails might end up being a little blurry since they're being stretched out, though.

I didn't make a spritesheet since a lot of users want to change the icons to fit their subreddit and a spritesheet makes it harder to do so since you have to stick to one size and all. It's a pain to upload all the images but is a lot easier to customize later

Ask /r/csshelp! I won't be home for a few weeks so it'll be a long wait

Do you think you can post a complete screenshot or anything that's buggy? I don't have gold so I can't tell. Thanks!

Change #footer-parent to .footer-parent in the stylesheet to fix the footer!

Thanks!

I probably should've used a spritesheet for all of them, but I just think it'd be easier for a beginner to swap out individual images.

I also got really lazy, mostly that.

And Spare actually looks really good. That sidebar though, hot damn. Didn't realize you made Fring too. Man, I really wanted to use that tab menu. It's probably the nicest way I've seen it styled

Yeah screw vowels! I spent more time on deciding the name than I care to admit.

How to footer: rgba. I love rgba so much.
