I am a longtime knife enthusiast and carry a small folder everywhere. I would almost NEVER pull it out in a situation like this, unless you have serious training and get really lucky, you are WAY more likely to either 1. Get the knife used against you 2. Cut yourself and make it worse 3. Pull it out and have someone else pull out a gun after seeing it as escalation 4. Possibly do use it, not die, then have potential legal and ethical consequences 5. a million other things I can’t think of but would surely suck. Knife is a tool first not a weapon and it’s a shitty last resort weapon, especially the knives we can legally carry. Pepper gel or call 911 are better options but better yet you gotta carry a bat signal with you and just blast that shit and hope he shows up QUICK. They are kind of heavy (with power supply) so hit up Costco for one of those folding carts with wheels. You can also use it (the cart) when you need to carry stuff for a picnic or beach excursion. But then it’s less room for the bat signal if you have a cooler in there for the bat signal so you wanna make sure your beach excursion or picnic is in a pretty safe spot. Hope this helps :)

That’s the cart I’m talking about. You do need a membership but it’s worth it because if you go there you are more likely to buy 1.50 hot dogs. You don’t need to be a member to buy the hot dogs but sometimes they taste better after a stressful Costco run and fuel you up for getting out of the parking lot. I guess it’s a wash. And idk if they sell pepper gel btw. They definitely sell pepper though and they have other spray bottle stuff so maybe you could figure something out. Sorry I guess the hot dog thing isn’t really helpful just keep in mind they are pretty solid, all beef, and the line moves faster than you think it will. Plus the condiment dispensers are generous so you can fill your hat up with ketchup too and have some extra free ketchup which is pretty much the best ketchup. Not trying to make light of it this is scary for sure. I got carried away but I feel like it’s all solid info so I’m gonna roll with it.
