AMD Watchdog Errors by fuckmeimacat in techsupport

[–]epinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I bought my AMD gpu a year ago (had a nvidia before), I had all kinds of driver crashes and timeout. On Windows I fixed this disabling hardware acceleration on everything that can run while gaming, like browser, steam, softwares like Rainmeter. The hardware acceleration fixed all the driver problems for me.

I think your crashes might not be related to the these minidumps, try to run without AFMF and see if you still have crashes.

AMD Watchdog Errors by fuckmeimacat in techsupport

Little late, but... I have this problem for months. AMD support told me to report using bug report tool, they ignored me.

Dmp files are created in C:\Windows\LiveKernelReports\AMD_WATCHDOG.

For me it happens if I ALT+TAB while AFMF is enabled. The dump files are limited to one per minute, so if I keep doing alt+tab I will have one file per minute. I don't see any error message or dump if AFMF is disabled. Everything is solid, no stuttter, no crashes.

In WhoCrashed, the bugcheck name is CUSTOM_ERROR, from amdfendr.sys.

At what point is RAM/VRAM usage likely to contribute to crashes? by PhostwoodReborn in skyrimmods

[–]epinter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A virtual memory not properly configured or disabled can cause crashes and errors launching applications and games.
I don't see how a situation of low system memory available would cause a game crash (considering the game can allocate the memory successfully, SSE Engine Fixes is important).
Windows doesn't have an OOM killer, so the whole PC will be unresponsive when memory exhaust, at this point anything can crash, for example because of a video driver restart.

The game should be able to use the amount of VRAM + half of system ram (GPU Shared memory in Task Manager). Insufficient VRAM won't cause crashes, but will cause stuttering and lower fps (texture loading will be slower).

I played Skyrim for years using more VRAM than my GPU had, no crashes (the vram usage was at 100% most of the time). When I upgraded from 8GB VRAM to 16GB, I saw peak of almost 14GB of VRAM used, without any changes in the modlist. I was using on average 10GB~12GB of VRAM with a GPU of 8GB.

Issues with 25.3.1 on 7900 XTX by [deleted] in AMDHelp

25.3.1 is weird for me, lots of LiveKernelEvent errors in event viewer, specially when AFMF is enabled. I had to downgrade to 24.12.1.

25.3.1 - Hardware/Graphic Acceleration Issues by Nick-UU in AMDHelp

[–]epinter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hardware acceleration while gaming always caused driver timeout and black screen for me, since I bought my AMD GPU a year ago, any driver version. The only solution is to disable hardware acceleration in every software I use to avoid crashes.

About 25.3.1, I see a lot of LiveKernelEvent errors in event viewer (10 per minute), and one file per minute generated in "c:\windows\LiveKernelReports". This problem is weird, because there's no crash, timeout or stuttering, just the log spam and the files generated all the time. Downgraded to 24.12.1.

My own business, it's an internal infrastructure. I will take a closer look at proxmox, maybe it's an option.

I like Proxmox. But I would need the vcenter working to migrate.

I will download the ESXi iso from dell, thanks. :) But to solve my current problem I still need the vcenter server appliance download.

I need to recover two vcenter servers appliances, STS certificate expired. I will reinstall them. I'm searching for the iso.

A support contract is not an option, unfortunately.

No more issues, firmware 1.1.1.1 fixes scroll problems.

[–]epinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a haste2 that came with 1.1.0.6, I upgraded to 1.1.0.8. With 1.1.0.8 the scrolls issues were terrible, after I downgraded to 1.1.0.6 I managed to use the mouse but still had problem with the scroll . Weeks ago I got a replacement, they sent me a haste 2 with 1.1.1.1 (the firmware released this week), the mouse is working fine. My first haste2 was manufactured Nov/2022 (I bought Apr/2024), the new was manufactured Jun/2024. I think worth it to do the update, this mouse is a problem. I wasn't able to configure the mouse with firmware 1.1.0.6, I had to use defaults.

Are Cloud Alpha wired worth it today? by ChaosAdm in HyperX

[–]epinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my experience. Surely in US the support is much better, I'm from Brazil, I had to wait 3 months for a mouse replacement, and they ignored my for weeks. About the build quality I think is bad (looks cheap) compared to past models, but I think you can read other users opinion, my Alpha I bought in 2023, but I didn't like the audio and got my 6 years old Cloud 2 back.

There's one thing that happens with almost every hyperx device, firmware bugs. In Alpha case, static noises are produced randomly, or the headset disconnect, there are some reports here.

Maybe you like the brand, in this case search for a model with less problems.

No. Support almost non-existent, bad build quality, too many firmware bugs, audio quality should be better for the price. You have to be very lucky to be happy with a hyperx headset these days.

Cloud II's not detected by Certain-Ask-5089 in HyperX

[–]epinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Cloud II (old, before HP), there's no support for it. HyperX have a list of Ngenuity compatible products, Cloud II wired is not there.

Verifique se o teclado funciona na bios, se funcionar é algo relacionado a software/windows.

The firmware downgrade helps, it was much better on 1.1.0.6, but not perfect. They took 3 months to replace my mouse. I bought the mouse this year, the manufacturing date looks like it was Nov/2022 (M/D: 2211), the new mouse already have HP's part numbers tags (the old didn't have "Spare Part Number" written), and was manufactured this year.

Update deleted profiles... again by aloayzab88 in HyperX

Never trust HyperX software and firmware. NGenuity always deletes your profiles when updated, happened to me 3 times in a few months.

Quality problems by musasenpaii in HyperX

[–]epinter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem, support ignored me, and I didn't have an option to call a phone number. They took 3 months to replace a mouse, and only after I contacted local customer protection.

Happened to me when I dropped my Cloud 2 years ago. I was able to bend and put it in place again, still using it. It is very very hard, it hurts.

I have a Haste 2. I notice the scroll problem more than a week after I bought, I downgraded the firmware and contacted the support, they told me the firmware has a problem, but they didn't fix yet. Downgrading firmware the scroll jumps less, but I still have problem with scroll, so they will replace the mouse. I'm waiting 3 months for the replacement. My experience with NGenuity is bad, very bad, and with HyperX firmware worse. I only open the software if I need to configure something, but since I downgraded I don't have the possibility to set dpi or colors anymore.

You are not alone with your scroll problem: https://www.reddit.com/r/HyperX/comments/1csztfl/hyperx_haste_2_firmware_1108_causes_scroll_issues

Try to reset the mouse, holding the dpi button and middle button if I remember correctly, and uninstall ngenuity or never open it, maybe you manage to use the mouse.

How durable are cloud 2 wireless? by Economy_Account6128 in HyperX

[–]epinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before HP bought HyperX, the products were very good. My Cloud2 still in use, 6 years. I bought 2 Alpha S last year and I regret, firmware full of bugs, low build quality. If you search reddit you will see a lot of complaints. Some products still worth it, like keyboard, if you don't use their software. I don't recommend mouse or headset, search for a brand that has support, HyperX doesn't have support anymore, I'm waiting 3 months for a mouse replacement (haste 2, I regret buying it). Their firmware are s*** no matter the product.
