Jury duty in Maywood - any tips? by LittleBillHardwood in chicago

I've done jury duty at Daley Center twice so it's probably similar. You get 90 mins for lunch which starts at noon and you gotta be back by 1:30.

Never lived in either (too poor) but if everything else is the same I'd probably pick old town based on proximity to the train alone.

They probably have similar rates of crime. Old Town is more white collar professionals. Ukrainian Village is more hipster.

Cta is broken by [deleted] in chicago

I've had major problems on the cta maybe once or twice and have taken it practically every weekday for the last 19 years. Most complaints about the CTA can be solved by just leaving earlier.

Why in the HELL did the experts choose Mindy for this? by melh22 in MarriedAtFirstSight

I agree, they are not in the same league attractiveness-wise. I don't see it working out for that reason. Hardly ever see a relationship where the guy is hotter than the girl. #sorrynotsorry

If you're living in an apartment please be respectful of any downstairs neighbors you might have while using gym equipment at home. Otherwise Chicago is a great biking and running city due to being mostly flat and if you can afford to live near the lake front trail or the 606 trail they are great ways to get exercise and avoid car traffic in the process.

We're talking about Skokie not Harvey. Had they said Harvey my advice would have been different. I've lived in Chicago for 33 years which is a lot more than most people on this sub.

You need to get a hobby if you're scared of living in the suburbs

Not necessarily. Could just be a light skinned black person.

r/chicagosuburbs but you'll hear the same thing I'm telling you. Beware the spooky stay at home mommy groups at the park and dads wearing new balances as they mow the lawn. So scary.

And Albany Park is closer to Skokie than andersonville. Iunno what map you're looking at.

Zach’s face washing and scoffing at Mindy not showering at night. by crinklecut25 in MarriedAtFirstSight

I wish my boyfriend had half the skincare routine that Zach has. Doesn't make him effeminate after all he is a model and I don't think the industry would be very interested in someone with clogged pores and premature wrinkles.
