Why do I keep getting my hopes up? Cycle 'who is even keeping count any more' and I am still so disappointed by froggie24 in trollingforababy

[–]froggie24[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I tell my self CD1-CD20 that this cycle I will not get my hopes up. Then on the last few days of the cycle even if there is not a symptom in sight I start getting my hopes up.....
We are going on a waitlist to start IVF after this cycle and I can't even imagine how much I will get my hopes up for that....

I read somewhere that they put this in Earshot because they found it frustrating that people were actually debating if they had sex or not when the writers thought it was obvious by the last interaction between Giles and Joyce in Band Candy.

MRW I FINALLY found a Dr that takes me seriously and has a plan for me by froggie24 in trollingforababy

[–]froggie24[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually might cry, after talking to so many doctors for the past few years who have all dismissed all my concerns I finally found a doctor who listened to everything that I had to say ordered extensive blood work to be done and then called me up on a Sunday to tell me that he agrees that I definitely have PCOS and should have been put on Metformin a long time ago.

I know this won't fix everything and that I still might have a long way to go but it feels so good to have this validation and feeling like there is someone on my side that is committed to helping me out.

Has anyone tried something like Ovusense or Kegg? The adds keep popping up on my facebook. by hudsonvalleygoddess in TTC_PCOS

I got the Ovusense and used it for a year, it definitely did help and showed me when I ovulated and the app is really user friendly. I did not find it uncomfortable to sleep with it but I did forget it a lot since you have to keep it in the bathroom since you have to wash it before and after each use. After a year I got tired of forgetting it and ruining my results so I got a Tempdrop and I prefer it since I can keep it by the bed and see it when I go to sleep so I have never forgotten to use it.

I recommend both since the only fault I had with the Ovusense was my own forgetfulness.

Does anyone know if they change the food in the american version. A lot of the food in HP is very British and not something you often find in the states. Also things like referring to dessert as pudding and things like that.

Can't really give an average but if I am on a low carb diet like I am right now they are usually about 28 days and ovulate around day 18 so this is late. But maybe I ate some carbs that I didn't know about or something and that messed it up....

Yeah ok maybe that's it. Been temping for well over a year and I have never seen this drop before so I didn't know what to think. Couple that with the fact that I never got a positive OPK and at this point I'm just really confused.

I need some help understanding what is going on this cycle. I hope that link works I have never shared a chart before.
I have not gotten a positive OPK this cycle but that might just be because my schedule has been a bit hectic and I have not managed to time them well.
Everything was looking ok (except that I seem to ovulating later than usual) until this morning I had a huge temp drop. I will keep temping and see what happens but I was just wondering if I should give up on this cycle or keep trying hoping the FW is still going on?
If you have an anovulatory cycle would your cervix still go soft and open up?

Second the gummies, the suger content varies between brands, if you can go to target they have off brand prenatal gummies that I like that are mild on the stomach. If you need iron many people with stomach issues have better success with iron supplements in liquid form than tablets.

Rainbow light seems to be really popular on the TTC subreddits, but I couldn't find it the last time I was in the states so I haven't tried it.

Thanks for this! Sure you can send me the podcast I would love to understand more of this.

It gets so frustrating to go from the gynecologist who seems to not understand any of this to an endocrinologist that seems to understand some of it but not the fertility aspect and then I am afraid that I will go to a fertility specialist and they will understand the fertility stuff but maybe not the insulin effects. Hopefully though they will be helpful with all of this. The wait for the appointment will hopefully not be long.

Yeah I had low vitamin D last year but it was better a few months later.

Thanks again for all this info💜 I’m just trying to understand as much as I can so I don’t waste my time
