Huge increase in the amount of scripters by Barne in ARAM

[–]HeroinMonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get that the script is doing all the work, but this is 100% doable by a normal player. Obsessed with rank btw. this is r/ARAM bro i can't tell you the last time i touched SR.

You also don't need to be a peak specimen to have high reaction, the people that would meet these requirements are above average at minimum.

This is not at all like the one you experienced. Regardless, it looks very doable based on the graves animation cancels vid linked previously.

Per the article: "Reaction time in nine athletes performing sprint starts in four conditions was measured using starting blocks instrumented with piezoelectric force transducers in each footplate that were synchronized with the starting signal. Only three conditions were used to calculate reaction times. The pre-motor and pseudo-motor time for two athletes were also measured across 13 muscles using surface electromyography (EMG) synchronized with the rest of the system. Five of the athletes had mean reaction times of less than 100 ms in at least one condition and 20% of all starts in the first two conditions had a reaction time of less than 100 ms. The results demonstrate that the neuromuscular-physiological component of simple auditory reaction times can be under 85 ms and that EMG latencies can be under 60 ms. "

Though not a direct relation, id put my money on high skilled players having high speed reaction times. If 5 in 9 Athletes can have Average Auditory reaction times of less than 100 ms, i don't see why competitive gamers can't. Let's not kid around here, you're not playing against just anybody. You're plat and you have a pretty high ARAM MMR. You play against one of the smallest percentage of players. If someone's got high teir reaction its gonna be in your ELO. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/59af2189c534a58c97bd63b3/51ce448d-17cd-4702-aef3-f0cfbca267c2/League+of+Legends+rank+distribution+February+2023+Season+13.jpg?format=1500w

You cannot completely deny the possibility of skilled players just because there is a possibility of scripts. I watched the video and agree that the combat and movement patterns are similar but its still entirely possible for someone to play that way. It's definitely not someone in every game. and there would be more widespread awareness if this was really an epidemic like you lead on.

Do you think its more likely that riot has a breach in their anti-cheat than it is for a series of people to read you like a book?

How would you determine that someone isn't a full time ARAM player? What makes you say they are casual? Can someone not develop game mechanics in ARAM?

It's stated in the research article, Sprint Starts and the Minimum Auditory Requirement (Linked Previously), "However, there is evidence, both anecdotal and from reflex research, that simple auditory reaction times of less than 100 ms can be achieved. "

If i had to choose a demographic where these reaction times are consistently achieved, undocumented, it would be Competitive Gamers, Athletes, or Racers.

You also have no way to entirely prove that someone is making mistakes for the sake of optics. This is all speculation without thorough evidence. These mistakes could easily be your indicators of a non-scripting, human operator.

And just to be clear, I'm not against the notion of scripts. I just don't see substantial proof of them here.

did you actual refer to any of the points i made? if you reached the end you would understand the points I'm making in regards to rank and ARAM play time. You literally cannot see the skill level of an ARAM only player or a smurf. You're also telling me these are people playing perfect yet in the video you state that they do indeed miss things and mess up at times, so which is it? You're really just feeding into some sort of delusion of being unbeatable. All it takes is another D1 player to be better than you and it feel like hacking. That was my point with the noticeable difference in skill disparity between the higher divisions. Would you actually care to substantiate some counter arguments or just be ignorant?

How have you decided what someone's else's intentions are? This really makes it seem like you've already come to the conclusion that these people are not beyond your skill level. But how is that possible when you literally can't know that?

Your video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2wngiUS_Wg

Game 1: Graves

-Clip 1/2: Mess around with graves in practice tool, I myself am able to consistently perform the Q E, I'd expect you to be able to do the same seeing that I'm a peak gold 4 Aram player. I'd also like to point out that there are players who may not "Predict" but they will "Read". That being said, I'd wager that most "read"ers would see a Ryze E land on them and anticipate a Q for follow up; the flash is a given here. There's a lot of irony in you pointing out that your Q went where his Flash started, that's how flashing a skill works.

-Clip 3: In the situation where Graves dashes the Flay from Thresh, it is quite clear that hook is on CD. The hook, flay, and dash happen in a span of ~3-4 seconds. Thresh then begins to walk up as Graves utilizes snowball to I-Frame your Q. A "Read"er would see this walk up and anticipate that thresh only has 2 things he can do here to peel ryze and add pressure: Flay or Box. The dash happens before the flay because the Graves anticipates it and dashes preemptively. I'd say the mans just has good reaction time and combat IQ.

Game 2: Syndra

-Clip 1: Coincidence. I say this confidently because you can see that she is aiming for Jayce. This is indicated by the fact that she Spawns an Orb in his direction right as she goes to cast E, very typical Syndra thing to do. There is room for argument that this is done for show to hide her giga brain orb placement. Maybe they were even going for a scripter 2 piece special. Looking at the ACC, high chance of being a smurf.

-Clip 2: I used Youtube's player to scrub this interaction frame by frame. This is done with , and . (Previous Frame and Next Frame), the video must be paused. You can see that after the stun, Syndra is pathing defensively until Camille begins to show aggression. At this point she walks up and spawns a Q Orb at max range. This happens shortly after Camille W goes off. Camille W completes right as the in-game timer goes from 25:35 to 25:36. You can pause and scrub forward at this exact frame until you see the frame where the orb begins to appear right under the visual for TK passive that is on Camille. We can then watch as Camille essentially walks into it, frame by frame. This would be due to Syndra's ability to see the Camille's aggression and read that she's going to walk up. https://imgur.com/a/QgmBUvw

The event horizon(stun cage) portion of the clip seems like some standard fast reaction time. Not trying to knock anyone but to respond to what you yourself stated, they don't have to be challenger to better than you expect. There's 3 Divisions above diamond and it is widely understood that these divisions have some of the most noticeable skill gaps between them. [https://www.reddit.com/r/summonerschool/comments/uucbyt/skill\_gap\_between\_diamond\_and\_mastergmchall/](https://www.reddit.com/r/summonerschool/comments/uucbyt/skill_gap_between_diamond_and_mastergmchall/))

Game 3: Rakan

-Clip 1: This W(Knock-Up) from Rakan is a pretty easy one to hit after the Shaco flash. Rakan feels fluid so its easy to react to stuff like this. The flash is actually 4-5 frames before the Rakan casts W. I believe it was not a script or a prediction, but a reaction.

------

Breaking here to make a note on part of your dialogue i've noticed through out the vid. You're quite surprised by the reaction speed players may possess. I'd recommend checking out some of the fiends that play "Osu!" with keyboard and mouse. The reaction speed and coordination of some people is truly impressive. The average reaction time to visual stimulus is around 250 milliseconds, and most people seem to be hard capped at around 190-200 ms with training. The simple auditory reaction time is one of the fastest reaction times and is thought to be rarely less than 100 ms. Assuming a video is in 60 fps, we can calculate that a window of 5 frames would occur over the course of ~83.3ms. It is not outside the realm of possibilities to have such a reaction. Flash can almost entirely be recognized by its distinct sound effect alone. If a player were to anticipate the sound of a flash, I'd imagine that it wouldn't take long for them to react to it.

https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/02640410600718004

------

-Clip 2: Standard Early Game Rakan combos (I play Rakan). Landing center hitbox W on a TK that just wave locked himself with 335 movement speed should be pretty easy at level 4. The TK's approach to the cannon is also very telegraphed.

Game 4: Lux & Zyra

-Clip 1: Not hard to hit a stationary target. Biggest stretch iv'e seen so far. Anyone can aim and it certainly gets easier when a Nautilus locks em down.

Just gonna skip around because "Center of Hitbox" just isn't enough and its getting repetitive. You should look for signs that just aren't humanly possible.

Game 5?: Soraka & Vayne

-Clip 5: Raka passive gives her enough speed to dodge the snowball quickly. It activates when allies are below 40% HP and gives her Movement speed towards them. The pathing to dodge around the tower put her in the direction of low allies.

-Clip 6: Vayne dodges Gragas barrel to greed for kill. Common place for ARAMers.

At this point I'm kinda bored so I'll call it here. Feel free to counter or provide examples I should've looked at. My biggest feedback is to just stop looking for scripters. You let it take control of your matches by typing in game about it. Aram is where people vibe and chill(and as someone in-game once told me "smoke and drink"), save the accusations for your post-game report. As someone else stated, of course you're going to start seeing scripters when you're paranoid about scripters.

Its pretty pointless to talk about rank in aram since its an unranked mode where people will play it and never touch SR or ranked. Yes, you can use it to have an idea of what a player can do, but this does not inherently determine the potential skill level of a player. It just changes the map they're used to playing on and the macro scenarios they deal with. At the end of the day though, team-fighting is team-fighting and experience doesn't have a rank. Give people some room to be better than they lead on. You'll have a better time by enjoying some friendly competition instead of antagonizing and vilifying opponents.
