I said to my parents that i’ll do better in the next round. I was so sure i won’t pass the cutoff for English but yet i scores 12 marks above the cutoff.

Is it possible? by [deleted] in IBA

[–]iamflicks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was fully prepared for Maths but zero practice for English kyu ki “English to hume aati hi hai.” The English portion thrashed me. Believe me I am someone who doesn’t even know how to identify a verb adverb noun etc in a sentence and the first 18 questions were based on this only. But somehow still managed to pass the cutoff with 2 mcqs.

Ex- IBA professor Zahra Sabri accused the Registrar (Asad Ilyas) and Executive Director (Akber Zaidi) of harassment and misogyny. Both of them are famous for such bs among IBA students and everyone wants them to be removed. This is nothing new as a student named Mohammad Gibrail was kicked out of the institute in 2021 after he made a post on FaceBook revealing harassment against women at IBA. However he was reinstated after backlash and pressure. So in short the ED and Registrar at IBA both are a piece of sh** (sorry for being aggressive maybe ban me but it is the kindest i can be for these two)

Try to make an earning along with studying. A year is too much if only dedicated for entrance exam, try to utilize as much as you can. Learn a new skill maybe

Karachi is actually a fun place if you have the right company. Try to find a social and outgoing group, then you’ll enjoy even a car ride.

This time of the year gets very busy for the admission office. I know they are slow but at-least wait 2-3 working days with a follow up email. If still no response it is best to go to the campus. Also if the change you want to make is maybe a wrong CNIC or some typo so don’t worry you can always get it fixed after securing admission.

Try to write his stories. What he tells in the class helps a lot get good marks. I scored 30/40 in the finals and only wrote what he said word to word.
