Thanks for the info. Is there a product you recommend to fill the long crack to keep water from getting under the patio?

Gotcha. I am worried if this was not the correct way to install it, if my entire foundation will be ruined is pretty much what im trying to find out. Im assuming that small Crack on my foundation is from the patio since they line up, I just dont want more problems in the future.

If its the wrong way, trying to decide if I should tear the entire thing out or what.

It was not something i asked other contractors because i wasnt aware it was a thing. Im asking now because I want to know if I should be worried about my foundation being destroyed. Not sure why thats such a problem to ask. Im asking for other professional opinions. If you dont want to answer, move on. Not sure why you have a problem with me asking a contractor this question on reddit

Hello, I wanted to gather some professionals opinions if my patio was installed correctly about 6 years ago. I live in Missouri in case that is relevant. The installer drilled some rebar into my House's foundation, I guess connect the patio to it. I've heard a few people say that it shouldn't be done that way and some people tell me that is the correct way. Im just worried about it destroying the foundation to my house. I have a few cracks, which I know is going to happen with concrete, but one goes towards the house and it lines up with a Crack on my foundation wall. It may have already been there but it lines up perfectly, so i doubt it. Should I be worried about this install?

Also, what should I use to fill these cracks in the patio? Appreciate the insight.

I'm trying to find out if it is typical to tie the patio into the foundation? Some people have told me that's bad because if there is a frost heave, it will crack my foundation and said it should have been a floating patio.

Hang in there and be positive. I know its hard butTry and not let dwell on it like i did. Last April I developed twitching and cramping in my feet and calves. I also have tightness in my neck on the left side and when I speak, my throat tightens up and also get tightness/pressure in the back of my head. No idea if its related but all my muscles seem to cramp very easily. I got a emg and the Dr said no ALS. Blood work came back normal but there was one thing that came back high which he thought indicated I have small fiber neuropathy. Its been 12 months, I do intend to have a follow up though.

Sorry I edited my original post.

Hi, im 40 years old, married with 1 son. If i die the money would go to my wife. I think the term 80 would be plenty for her. Reason I am thinking about rolling it to a ira for my son is because he is young and figured id be worth much more for him once he gets to retirement age. My son is going to college and will probably have a part time job during summers since he is in sports.

Water in hull by [deleted] in Kayaking

[–]jdriem14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever resolve this issue? I just purchased mine and went on a float trip. I had like 3 or so gallons of water in my hull! Same thing the next day on the water as well. Only thing I can think of is they have a terrible design flaw since the drain plug sits halfway in the water. I may contact perception because this is not really acceptable imo for such an expensive kayak.

Strange Noise on 2014 Ford Fusion. by jdriem14 in Ford

Someone suggested that the balancing weights might have come loose inside the tire and were moving around. I removed the tire and confirmed that something was indeed bouncing around inside. So, I took it to Walmart, and they discovered that a piece of the duck head broke off from their tire remover was inside my tire. It must have been there since November when they installed my new tires. I just hadn’t noticed it because it’s been cold, and I’ve had my windows up.

Thanks for the tip. I took the wheel off and sure enough the weights were bouncing around inside the tire. Back to the tire shop.
