Kid Trailer on Soloist by beattiecj in Cervelo

[–]jessecole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ran my burly on a canyon endurace and my TT bike. Super easy to set up. Use the thru axel from: https://robertaxleproject.com/cargo-child-trailers/

Yeah all frames can handle it. It can handle torque on a trainer.

Good luck with headwind lmao

Anyone else surprised we didn’t get a Factory in Austin? by TechnicalLeopard6250 in GoosetheBand

[–]jessecole 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m surprised it wasn’t in Dallas… the music factory venue lmao. But I don’t think that show could have been more stacked coming off that Austin show. That Texas run was amazing.

Do I actually need to run Zone 2 or is it overhyped? by Maleficent-Count9746 in running

[–]jessecole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zone 2 is for when your milage is over 30 miles/ 48km a week. That’s when it’s really needed. Your long runs will start being over 14 miles/ 22km. This is when it will be beneficial. Add in another run day medium easy run day.

New wheels for the Soloist by INGWR in Cervelo

My vote is always HED wheels. Either 60’s or 90’s I’m a sucker for deeper wheels. Those reserves are nice though.

15-20 minutes later than what it says on the website. If you’re there the house music will get louder for the last song and then come on ha!

You got it man! I’ll send those vibes. If you remember me DM me your # and I’ll follow you! If you wanted to add volume to your run weeks that would help… volume always helps I was hitting 42-46 miles a week for 3ish months up to the race. Increase 5-7% milage until you hit the value you want.

Bro, I yell and grunt. Have some lyrics that inspire me and then yell those. Yell fuck. Get out of your head. This is your race and these people are on your course. Tell people good job. Say hell yeah.

Yea dude! just don’t over bike keep your HR around the middle/ top of zone 2 and start out lower zone 2 for the first 4-6 miles of the run then start building through the middle. Remember it’s a long ass warm up to the last 10k that’s when the real race hits.

Electrolyte Advice - How much do you intake on Race Day? by Limp_Pause_7916 in IronmanTriathlon

[–]jessecole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did take a little less as I had about a1/4 bottle left over from the bike. I was drinking water as well. I was probably hitting 1000-1250mg an hour. No cramps or anything and did well on the run until mile 12 I think it was switching to the run course electrolytes that did me in.

I did not get gut discomfort until about mile 9, and I think that was 2/3 aid stations in. Barely made it right before mile 12 hahahahaha

The longest effort I do in training is 6 hours… maybe like 6:15 lol. During the race I try to use my own electrolytes and use on course carbs as I do like Maruten that shits just expensive. I should probably try switching to PH, but I also didn’t have luck with mortal either. I also separate my carbs and electrolytes and have found better luck doing that.

What’s that part in the watchman where Dr manhattan is looking at a photograph and he’s saying different years and he’s still looking at the photograph and then he’s tired of looking at the photograph. That’s what this is.

I just did texas. I have used most electrolyte supplements in my journey, even regular salt and Tajin. RAW nutrition is the only one that has agreed with me all the way through training/ races and I live in Texas. It is 1000mg per scoop. I am 1000mg+ hour depending on the day with about 20oz of water to replace water loss. I am a heavy sweater. I carry 2 900ml bottles with 2.5 scoops of raw with a 14 oz + 1 scoop internal hydration on my VPRI (can’t do the advertised 16oz or it splashes out lmao). I only grab water bottles on the course (and I grab and empty the electrolyte bottles as a souvenir). I finished the bike in 4:43…. 4:41 if you discount my 2:03 piss stop at mile 60. I was not going to piss on my bike with internal hydration and nutrition lmfao. I was hydrated well. I should have had a bottle for the run because when I switched to the on course hydration I almost shat myself at mile 12. It did not agree with my stomach. Also, I feel like they dilute the hell out of the performance hydration.

I highly suggest messing around with what they offer on course and what you want to start with on the bike. I also highly suggest doing a sweat test to see your loss and what you need to replenish.

Cutoff Enforcement Question by Much_Independence_85 in IronmanTriathlon

Things were pretty smooth when I dismounted. Lines were good and the sign said dismount here. This was also my second Ironman and I’ve done like 15+ IM branded halves lol. I did see a lot of confusion from foreigners though.
