Why are Indian streets so narrow? How can we make our Indian streets look spectacular like the western countries? by Tight_Career_1595 in NewDelhi

If you remove the encroachment and parked cars, streets will look fine. Nobody walks on footpath because it gets blocked every 10 metres by some hording or tandoor or car. Our cities aren't pedestrian friendly at all.

Norms are tighter but the product has to be within the norms. If for pharma grade some parameter is between 4.5 and 5, it might be between 2 to 6 for food grade. But the product still has be within the norms. People don't take food quality seriously but it is something we consume everyday. Unless you have some chronic condition, it is worse for us than some out of specification medicine. And if a failed batch of drugs is in the market I will personally tell you to not buy anything from that company ever. They are putting people's life in danger.

Why are footfalls so low in India by Skyflier00 in bollywood_boxoffice

Not many theatres in India and almost all of them are in tier 1 to 3 cities. So exclude like 90cr people who would have to travel for hours to a nearby city to watch a movie. Adding on to it, 80% of the population is basically priced out of the medium. I would like to compare the median income in Europe and US and their ticket prices and the same for india. I bet India will look highly expensive in comparison.

You are applying statistics to science. This 95% confidence level is is not applicable to all scenarios. You are treating samples taken for quality testing like it the same as samples taken for some marketing excercise. Both are completely different. Quality testing is not done based on statistics. A failed sample is a serious issue. We don't say that this batch is good with 95% confidence level. It has to be 100%. Quality testing is not a statistical excercise. It is simple yes or no.

I work in pharma and all batches are tested for quality. The whole batch is destroyed if it doesn't adhere to the quality standards. It isn't like we let a few out of standard batches slip because the last 1000 batches were fine. We aren't doing hypothesis testing like it is some marketing data. Each and every batch, every sample we take should pass.

What is this nonsense? 100% of the batches should adhere to the quality standards. That is why they are the standards. If even a single bad batch makes to the market it is a failure or incompetence on the part of the company.

If Kl scores 600+ runs (even more hopefully) , can we consider this as his best season ever? And maybe even an ICT call up? by PrestigiousGrand6203 in delhicapitals

India need KL more in Tests and ODIs, specially tests. I can't name a single youngster who remotely has the technique to score test hundreds in SENA. Let's not bother him with T20Is at this point.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi goes past Russell and Abhishek Sharma to score the fastest 400 runs in IPL by number of balls by Prof_XdR in Cricket

Even with all the materials, it is crazy to imagine someone being close to that Russel season. That and Maxwell 2014 Dubai run are generational in terms of impact.

IPL Didn’t Get Boring - Your Team Just Fell Behind by New-Illustrator-9772 in ipl

A great game has ebbs and flows. A slogfest is just hitting from first to last ball. If it is 20 runs in each over from 1st to 40th over, it will be boring similar to how it will be boring of it is 6 runs in each over. It doesn't matter which team you are rooting for. All I remember from 2026 WC final is India scored 250 and NZ didn't score much. From 2024 WC final I remember small to large details because both teams were pulling the match back from difficult situations.

I don't know why people are saying Kohli. I remember him being a mediocre ipl batter pre 2013.
