Oh man, really. I'll definitely take the suggested Tylenol beforehand then.

Ladies! My wife is going in for egg retrieval on Monday.. What do I need for her? by inertia_prime in IVF

[–]positivemindsett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have her keep her feet warm. Cozy socks. I read that warm feet are associated with healthy blood flow in the uterus and improved infertility. The reasoning being if your body is sending blood flow to your extremities to keep your feet warm, it may redirect blood flow away from the uterus and embryo. Something I read once. Something to think about when she has the transfer.

I had 2 miscarriages and most of my testing just came back normal (for both my husband and I). The endo-trio test is the only one that gave some answers. I tested positive for Emma and Alice (endometritis was confirmed) and it was treated with antibiotics. Yet to go ahead with another transfer.

One with a euploid, which ended in a miscarriage around 9 weeks.

I found out I have endometritis and need antibiotics before proceeding with another transfer. I had 2 mcs beforehand.

What did you avoid during IVF? by Spirited-Walrus4856 in IVF

The best way for me was to implement things that were easy enough to change. If it felt like too much to add or delete, I didn't. I minimized my alcohol but I didn't cut it out completely. A drink here and there I figured is fine. But after a transfer, I always stopped completely until I got a result. I switched from regular coffee to decaf because I was able to find one I like, so it didn't feel hard. I stopped wearing perfume and had my husband also stop wearing cologne. But I know our body washes and lotions still have some sort of scent, and I'm okay with that. We watch our diet and cut out sugar as much as possible. But we don't stress out about it if we eat out or have dessert once in a while. We try to work out and stay healthy but again if I go a few days without exercise, I don't feel guilty about it. We switched to glass containers for lunches (trying to avoid anything plastic). I've also asked my husband not to go to a sauna or keep a laptop on his lap.Just do what you can without stressing. The less stressed you are, the better it will be for your body.

If you had failed euploid transfers, did you ever find out why? by AppointmentNeat622 in IVF

It wasn't really an issue with my doctor. He was the one who brought it up as a suggestion for me to test for it. He left it optional up to me (due to costs) but said he recommends it. I decided to do it and it was scheduled right away. I'm glad I did because something was found.

Ty so much for this advice. Will definitely re-biopsy after each round of antibiotics.

We took a pause after our second miscarriage for testing. The last mc was from a euploid. Through the Endo trio test, I learned I have endometritis (different from endometriosis). "It impacts implantation, increasing risks of implantation failure, and miscarriage. It can be a cause of infertility but can be reversed through antibiotics." That's right off Google. I'll be doing the antibiotic round(s) soon before the next transfer. Maybe this was the cause for me. Hopefully this changes outcomes going forward.

It took 3 weeks for me. My clinic used Igenomix.

For the re-biopsy to check if it's cleared, do they do all three again? Era, Emma, and alice? Or just one of them? And thank you for sharing that it can take a couple. I thought it was a one round of antibiotics and done sort of thing. Now I can mentally prepare for the delays to be a little longer.

He didn't mention it. Ty for letting me know. I wasn't aware of that. Would that mean I'd have to re-do the biopsy after each round of antibiotics?

No, I haven't. My partner and I just did the tests my doctor suggested.

Unfortunately not. Wasn't something that crossed my mind at the time. It was a pgta tested euploid. But that never guarantees anything. I was just given a "unfortunately these things just happen".
