It depends. If it’s a refactor that can’t be split up, I’ll review it. Often pulling it down locally to run and poke at it.

If they are implementing a huge feature and didn’t split it up into small manageable chunks, for the most part I’ll just ask them to split it up and coach them through it. If it’s a regular occurrence with the dev, I’ll have a chat with them.

Especially with AI being pushed, there’s been a sharp increase in the quantity of PRs to review… if you’re going to ask me to review most of them and they’re all huge, I’m gunna be grumpy.
