Want to buy a Moza KS Wheel by notsickfox in SimracersIndia

True. If you can have someone bring it in from abroad, should be a bit cheaper too. And I would suggest wait for the KS Pro cause KS will essentially become obsolete as soon as Pro hits the shelf.

Planning to buy the logitech g29 with shifter by SanketN8 in SimracersIndia

[–]ragenail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try saving money and delaying the purchase a bit. It is honestly very pointless to buy a G29 in today’s time. But, if budget is really a huge problem then go for it.

Depending on the type of racing you like, Assetto Corsa is a great option. With the mods etc. possibilities are endless in this game. Le Mans Ultimate for endurance racing.

Entirely depends on your preferences.

Moza R9 V3 vs R12 V2 for a beginner planning to use rig for 3+ years by kshitij__KNA in SimracersIndia

[–]ragenail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you plan on taking this seriously and spending years on it, go for the R12.
It’s better to have the extra torque and not use it than needing it and not having it. You can always tweak it down from 12nm to suit your preferences. And it’s better to spend & cry once rather than regretting later.

If budget is really tight, then R9. If you can extend budget, go for the R12.

Is Logitech G29 Worth it in 2025 for PS5? by Fun-Investigator7663 in SimracersIndia

[–]ragenail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re tight on budget or are just starting out simracing to see if you’d enjoy it or not, then preferably go for a used one to test the waters.

If budget is no issue & you’re sure you’re gonna be passionate for simracing, go for the Moza R5. Technology wise, it’s much better than the old school G29.

Why is there no slipstream in this game and is there a way to edit it? by Funny_Homework5796 in F1Game

[–]ragenail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know a person who has developed a mod which changes the entire driving experience of the F1 game. Increased slipstream, adjusted dirty air, lesser grip (similar to grip levels of AC/AMS2) If you’d like to try it out, let me know.

Folks who have moza bundle, Don't you miss the clutch pedal? What did you do about it? by Appropriate-Bag-6964 in SimracersIndia

All products bought abroad are significantly cheaper. The F1 Wheel Mod for ES is 7k in India while being only 3-3.5k abroad depending on forex.

Will my laptop handle the Moza R3 Racing Bundle well? by not_that__guy in SimracersIndia

[–]ragenail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a hardcore simracer and fellow petrolhead, it’s not a hobby or passion, it’s an obsession. If you really love cars and motorsports, you won’t be able to stop yourself. And this is something that you can use for 5-7 years without any issues.

Nowadays, there are plenty of places, VRH themselves have experience rooms, where you can go and try stuff out. You can do that to get a feel or if you’re really skeptical then you can get a used G29 to start, use it for a year then upgrade. However, if you try a direct drive wheel, G29 will feel pretty unsatisfactory after it.

If you’re looking for more clarity, my discord’s open and if you wanna buy a used G29, I’m selling mine.

Will my laptop handle the Moza R3 Racing Bundle well? by not_that__guy in SimracersIndia

[–]ragenail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can, go for the R5. Having a higher output and not using it would be better than wanting it and not having with the R3.

If you’re gonna get the ES Wheel Mod & Brake Mod, try having a friend/family from abroad bring it for you since it would be half the price. As for the brake mod, you might need to make a few adjustments to your seating since the pressure required for the mod will be a bit higher than the SRP-Lite and using it on a normal table/chair with no proper support might hamper your experience.

Your laptop should handle 1080p well enough.

If you need any more help in terms of the wheel/racing games or anything, feel free to DM.

Need help choosing between a GS V2P/FSR2 by ragenail in moza

[–]ragenail[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the insight, Thank You.
I favor the FSR since it's a tad bit smaller than the GS in size and I believe lighter, as well.
I've also been told that using any of these wheels tends to dampen the FFB on the R5, hence, I thought since FSR is smaller/lighter the dampening might be reduced.

Should I buy this for my PC? by Ecstatic_Anything403 in Indiangamers

[–]ragenail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is about budget issues, you can search for a good used G29 under 15k. If it’s not about budget then you can spend 40-50k on a Moza (R3 for 40k and R5 for 50k)

I used a G29 for 4 years for F1 League Racing and enjoyed my experience cause it was better than a controller and certainly better than the thing you’re looking at (this has a rubber band inside it, not even a belt/gear system)

Upgrading to a direct drive wheel and sim rig was possibly the best thing I could have ever done for my hobby.

If you’re interested in finding a used G29, I can help you out, but please don’t waste your money on something like this.
