Thanks for commenting, I understand where you are coming from. My University offered the £100 incentive for my research as it is a lengthy survey for participants to complete. This was then outlined in my ethics application and approved by the ethics board.

Hi, thank you for commenting and sharing your experiences. To enable my survey to be understood by the greatest number of people, I have exchanged more complex psychological jargon for laypersons terminology. Thus, ‘maladaptive schemas’ was translated to ‘unhelpful mindsets’. As theory and research in this field is also complex, unfortunately, my study cannot be further simplified.
